Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Associate System Design Engineer to support the development of low voltage power management in vehicles. In this role you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of low-voltage (12V,24V and 48V) power management system.

Job Description
As an Associate System Design Engineer, on a typical day, you are
- Designing and developing low-voltage power management systems for next-generation automotive platforms
- Translating vehicle-level low voltage electrical power requirements into detailed system-level specifications
- Documenting the detailed requirements for SW development in system engineering tool based on investigation reports from the concept owners
- Documenting of Logical design & related signals in system engineering tool
- Understanding the ECU state flow machine and the behaviour of the system in different vehicle modes
- Utilizing data from field tests, simulations, and in-vehicle logging to drive design decisions and improve system performance
- Involved in investigation of system level or vehicle level issues, documenting the RCA and supporting the Product leaders with the changes needed to close the issue
- Perform simulations and design validation to understand the stability of the low voltage power management system.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders like Product Manager, Epic Owner, Architect Component Owner (CO) and Function Owner (FO)
- Participate in design reviews, SFMEAs, functional safety and cybersecurity analysis
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in automotive electrical or power systems design.
- Strong understanding of automotive low-voltage architecture (12V,24V and 48V) and related standards.
- Demonstrated experience in using data analytics and system-level measurements to guide design refinement.
- Proficiency with tools such as MATLAB-Simulink and scripting languages like Python for data analysis.
- Familiarity with CAN, LIN communication protocols and diagnostic tools.
- System knowledge on power management related components such as Battery Power Management Systems, Alternators, Battery sensors, Starter motors, Ultra-Capacitors, etc.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262, cybersecurity, and EMC/EMI compliance is a plus.
- Familiarity with toolchains like JIRA, Confluence and other PLM tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
