The embedded camera offers AI integration for imaging, suitable for industrial automation, robotics, and medical applications with real-time object detection.

Recently, e-con Systems have unveiled its new embedded camera, designed for seamless integration with the NVIDIA Holoscan platform. Holoscan is a real-time AI sensor processing platform that helps developers build end-to-end edge solutions. The camera is ideal for industrial automation, robotics, and medical imaging applications, offering high-speed, low-latency imaging using e-con’s proprietary TintE Image Signal Processor (ISP) for real-time AI-based object detection and recognition.
Additionally, the NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge powered FPGA board further simplifies setup and offloads image processing tasks. It supports low-latency, high-speed sensor processing, transmitting data to the GPU via Ethernet. This efficient data transfer optimizes GPU resources for AI inference, boosting overall system performance. These high-resolution, high-performance cameras deliver exceptional image quality at high frame rates, making them suitable for industrial and medical applications.

Leveraging the Holoscan SDK on the AGX Orin platform, e-con Systems offers optimized solutions for real-time AI applications, ensuring low latency, high throughput, and scalable sensor streaming.
The cameras integrate seamlessly with the Lattice Holoscan Sensor Bridge board using the MIPI CSI-2 interface for easy connectivity. With expertise in high-performance ISP technology and Lattice CertusPro-NX FPGAs, e-con Systems delivers reliable and efficient camera solutions for demanding use cases.
Some of the key features of the embedded camera include:
- Sensor: IMX715 from SONY® STARVIS
- Focus Type: Fixed Focus
- Resolution: 8MP
- Chroma: Color
- Shutter Type: Electronic Rolling Shutter
- Optical Format: 1/1.8″
