The EMI microwave antenna supports compliance testing up to 44 GHz, suitable for EMC labs and manufacturers in automotive, electronics, and aerospace.

the FR2 range.
Rohde & Schwarz have introduced the R&S HF1444G14, a high-gain EMI microwave antenna designed for electromagnetic interference measurements. Covering a frequency range of 14.9 GHz to 44 GHz, it meets the CISPR 16-1-4 and CISPR 16-2-3 standards. Its precise mechanical design and optional individual calibration make it suitable for high-frequency testing, helping to simplify and accelerate large object testing in smaller chambers.
The EMC antenna, when paired with the R&S ESW44 EMI test receiver, is suitable for full compliance testing up to 44 GHz. Designed for fast, accurate, and reliable measurements, it offers excellent electrical performance. This makes it a future-proof choice for EMC test laboratories and manufacturers of complex products or electronic equipment, including those in the automotive, mobile phone, consumer electronics, and industrial electronics industries. It is also suitable for aerospace and defense applications, evaluating communication and radar systems operating at high frequencies.

The antenna features a high gain of approximately 14 dBi at the center frequency and a 3 dB half-power beamwidth of over 28°, ensuring market-leading electrical performance. With a single measurement, it can fully illuminate an Equipment Under Test (EUT) with a cylindrical volume of 1.5 m × 1.5 m from a 3 m distance. This efficiency reduces measurement time, increases throughput, and allows for smaller, cost-effective EMC chambers.
Additionally, the antenna complies with the CISPR 16-1-4 and the updated CISPR 16-2-3 standards, which extend the frequency range from 1 GHz – 18 GHz up to 40 GHz while maintaining a minimum 3 dB half-power beamwidth of 28°.
