Featuring advanced modulation capabilities, real-time IQ baseband AWGN support, MIMO testing, and web-based remote control, it provides a flexible, high-purity solution for modern communication and measurement needs.

Siglent Technologies announced the SSG6082A-V Vector Signal Generator (VSG), delivering good performance across an output frequency range of 9 kHz to 8 GHz. Designed for research, production, and testing applications, the the VSG offers a versatile feature set, including AM, FM, PM analog modulation, pulse modulation, and an optional pulse sequence generator.
It is a 500 MHz bandwidth internal IQ baseband source, enabling real-time generation of complex digital modulation formats such as QAM, FSK, ASK, and PSK. When paired with Siglent’s SigIQPro PC software, users can easily create signals for modern communication protocols like 5G NR, WLAN, LTE, Bluetooth, and IoT.The key features include:

- Real-time IQ baseband AWGN support, allowing precise control of signal-to-noise ratios for receiver testing.
- Waveform playback and waveform sequence generation, expanding modulation capabilities.
- MIMO system support, enhancing complex communication testing.
- Vector mode S-parameter compensation, optimizing broadband characteristics in test setups.
- Power Meter Control Kit integration for power measurement, output control, and line loss correction.
- Web-based remote control, providing users with intuitive, browser-accessible operation.
The generator boasts high signal purity, with phase noise performance reaching <-132 dBc/Hz @ 1 GHz, 10 kHz offset (typical), and an impressive amplitude accuracy of ≤ 0.7 dB. The output frequency resolution is finely tunable down to 0.001 Hz, and the level setting range spans from -140 dBm to +30 dBm, offering flexible configuration for diverse test scenarios.
With excellent broadband performance and advanced modulation features, the VSG sets a new standard for high-frequency signal generation, offering an ideal solution for today’s demanding R&D, manufacturing, and educational environments.
