“Eaton – GEIS has an opening for an Electronics hardware design engineer. This position will be based in Chennai, India.

The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop of different verticals of industrial domain products. Redesigning product to meet backward compatibility and comply with relevant standards.  

• Good knowledge in the Micro Controller / Processor based electronics design is a primary requirement. Strong basics on electronics-based design is highly desirable. 
• Understanding of product specification and customer requirements is required
• Need to develop new products and sustain engineering support, new production development and sustaining activities of existing products as subject matter expert.
• Should work as an individual contributor
• Having design simulation experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of overall design engineering processes encompassing “Design – Development – Testing – Release” is required.
• Provide manufacturability perspective for early concepts and help validate through building appropriate designs. Assist with building prototypes that help in proof of concept and work with all different stakeholders” 

“The candidate in this position will be responsible to:

• Design electronics product for industrial domain.
• Schematic design and capturing
• Working with PCB layout team and other functions
• Develop the interfaces between the electronic and mechanical parts of the system.
• Qualifying certification aspects of the product and apply the same while development.
• Develop prototypes of the new product for manufacturing.
• Testing and debugging the prototypes samples developed and take it up with Cross functional teams for improvements.
• Support to production team in relation for sustaining the product manufacturing. 
• Develop design notes for designs and test cases for board bring-up.
• Work with cross functional team during project execution”

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech in any one of  Electrical / Electronics /Instrumentation Engineering 
• Bachelor’s degree – 2 to 4 years experience in Electronics Hardware design & development
