PCB Design and Testing Engineer At GlobalFoundries In Kolkata

The Kolkata Power Centre (KPC) team needs to develop a number of validation/Qual/Application PCBs and conduct various tests (on GF’s GaN devices soldered on those PCBs) for validating the performances and assessing the reliability of various new GF GaN parts within a short time frame. This resource will also perform various tests, is imperative to improve the productivity of the Centre. The candidate should have good experience in testing different types of PCBs and electronic components, particularly in IC validation, reliability and power electronics testing. He/she should have good working experience in operating different lab power supplies, equipment and instruments such as Oscilloscope, DMM, bench top power supplies etc.

Your Job

• PCB schematic, component symbol and Footprint creation in Altium Designer
• PCB Layout design in Altium Designer
• Multi-layer PCB design in Altium Designer
• PCB 3D modeling/assembly, Bill of material (BOM) preparation, PCB and components ordering and their inventory management.
• Test engineer: Conduct various reliability, validation and application-level testing on GF GaN devices.

Other Responsibilities

• Independently create PCB schematic, layout design and 3D mechanical modeling.
• Create Gerber, assembly and all other files necessary for all the teams.
• Tape out the PCB from PCB Power or other place as per the requirements, and effectively handle the exception errors.
• Order the BOM for the given PCB.
• Create the components kitty for the new PCBs to be populated upon receiving the parts.
• Help/support the Application, Validation and Design engineers in carrying out/executing different lab tests depending upon the work priorities.
• Effectively manage the component and populated boards inventories for the above parts.

Required Qualifications

• Education Diploma in EE/ECE or BSc (Electronics)
• Years of Experience 3 years
