Nice and warm base layer
I vacillated whether to give this a 4 star or a 5 star review … but ultimately decided that the fundamental goal of a warm base layer and a good price point was worth the 5 star review. As the weather cools around here this has arrived just in time. I like to put this kind of base layer under my bike jerseys when I get out to ride in the cooler winter months and I think – especially with the ‘mock turtle neck’ – these will work out just fine. And a 5-pack! That’s a pretty good deal.Size (large) is as expected though I thought it might be a bit more tight fitting. This is billed as a compression shirt after all. But, it’s just sorta snug. In fact, feels kinda like a snug sweatshirt.I’ve been wearing it on chilly mornings recently and feels pretty good.I got the package with a variety of colors and am pleased with that choice. I otherwise tend toward just getting such things in black but the blue, gray and white are gonna come in handy.

Too tight
The fabric on these long-sleeve shirts feel wonderful, but unfortunately, they are way too tight. I can usually wear a Large or a X-Large. I ordered these in X-Large. Still, they are way too tight. That alone makes them extremely uncomfortable.

Nice and warm
These are nice 5 pack thermal turtleneck shirts. I got the multi-color pack so I can have different color options available. Outside is smooth and inside is soft with fleece lining. They are not too heavy but keeps me warm. Looking forward to using these this winter.

solid thermal compression shirts
I got these for myself. Tried them on and I really like them. The fleece lining really makes them feel comfortable. The mock turtleneck is a nice touch to keep you neck warm without restricting you too much. I’m 6’1″ so I have long arms and the sleeves are short. If I hold my arms out in front of me, they are about an inch shorter than my wrists. The fabric is stretchy so if needed I can always pull it down, it just won’t stay down. The length of the shirt it pretty good, longer than I thought it would be. The five pack is a good combo.Overall, I am happy with this selection. For the quality and price, I would recommend.

Soft, comfortable base layer for cold days. Good value pack
Nice 5-pack of base tops. These are thick and warm, and perfect for wearing under a lighter mid-layer when it’s cold out. These are compression tops – they are very snug and if you aren’t used to wearing compression layers it may feel uncomfortable. Just know that it probably isn’t too small – it’s supposed to be that snug. These would be too warm to wear outside of the colder months, but they aren’t so thick that they become uncomfortable when you go inside. I plan to try these out while skiing this year. The value of this 5-pack is impressive – the pack costs about as much as a single high-quality base layer top from a major store, so I’m very pleased with getting 5 in different colors for that price.

Sleeves are a bit short
With winter ski season approaching, I was eager to get some thermal long sleeve shirts that I can use as insulating base layers while on the slopes. This set seemed like a good one to try since it has a range of colors and includes enough shirts that I don’t have to do laundry after just a day or two of skiing.I ordered a size small (even though Amazon said medium was my recommended size) since I’m about a 31.5″ waist and 36.5″ chest, and I prefer a fairly snug fit for base insulating layers. These shirts fit me fairly well without a ton of excess fabric, though I would prefer the chest was a little snugger. However, I found the sleeves to be about 1-1.5″ shorter than I would prefer. It’s not unusably short, but it’s just short enough that I can see the cuffs creeping up and creating a little bit of a cold spot. That said, the fabric is nice; the exterior is a smooth knit so your outer layers will slide on easily, while the inner fabric is a soft fleecy material with a fair amount of stretch to it. The fabric isn’t super thick, so this isn’t a heavy insulating layer, but it looks like it will help trap a little air next to the skin for warmth while helping to wick moisture away. Since it’s a little too early to put these to the test, I can’t say whether the inner fleece is the kind that pills up after a few wears/washes; I’m hopeful it won’t since it’s really nice and soft. I will update this review once I’ve hit the slopes with them if these don’t live up to expectations.I would rate these as a 3.5 star item because of the short sleeves. Regardless, the current price of $33 for a pack of five is a pretty great deal.
