Pretty and *Inexpensive* LED string lights with multiple options and Dimmer
– First thing to note is that this is a light string with multiple colors of LEDs, in the same way that string-lights using incandescent bulbs have single-color lights – so this is NOT a string where every LED has multiple colors. That seemed to be a point of confusion in some reviews I’d read for this model. I assume that there *are* some items which have multiple LEDs in each “bulb”, but that of course would run the price up significantly. Hey, it’s always easy to find things that cost an arm and a leg if that’s what someone wants and can afford… – The radio controller works, but not so well from the inside of the house and through brick. Also, I have these on timers, and the “program” seems to default to “Option 1”, which is in my opinion far to circus-like with one fast-flashing patterns after another. I prefer the Slow Fade. If I can move well enough to get up onto a step ladder this evening, I’ll see whether using the *button* to adjust the setting makes it “stick”. – I bought Three sets, and one controller can operate all the sets, so I essentially have two “spares”. – One thing that I think is especially nice is that the controller has a Dimmer option. These aren’t the brightest LEDs I’ve had (I have one string I never use because it looks like a string of dang airport landing lights, Holy Angry Neighbors, Batman!!!), but it’s still nice to have the option to adjust the brightness to fit one’s situation 🙂 – And yes, the “balls” are some form of plastic, but it seems to be pretty strong, because I had laid the strings out on the concrete patio and stepped on one (oops…!) and it didn’t break – which was impressive!!!, LOL! They are translucent, white, and “frosted” in texture, which softens the light and makes it look larger than a bare LED would look. Actually, they look like the product photos: glowing balls. I liked the way the photo looked, which is why I tried them. I like it. – The cord is a “silver colored” (probably aluminum) wire inside a clear tube/”coating” which is pretty thick, meaning, protective. In the daylight, it’s more subtle than solid-white or solid-green cords. My siding is light tan hardi-plank and light-tan-tones brick, so I like that this blends in pretty well. – If anything “bad” happens, I’ll revise my review, but all in all, I’m totally satisfied with this purchase :).

Looks great at night
I got these to put on my golf car and they look great at night. We use them to make sure we are more visible at night. If I could make one change, I would love to see them being more customizable with the colors and/or patterns.

Bought these because I like the round bulbs in the fun colors. I used them for my fake evergreens in pots on my porch and they were the perfect length. They have different remote settings you can change to blink or steady color. Cannot speak to the battery usage or the timer function yet, but the remote was easy to use and immediately responsive. The cord is clear- I would’ve preferred green for my use but it is sturdy and seems like good quality. They are super cool and very bright. You can see them from the street easily. I will be ordering more.

i only like the steady on feature so i wont comment on the modes howevr the remote and timer feature are cool. good length, vibrant accurate colors and low power. where i live its the 1800’s, electricity goes off all the time. alberta. trudeau. -_-. i have battery backup (a UPS). okay I have three. one of them is a wee little 550. i plugged these into the 550 and it recently lit my livingroom in cheery colors for over 12 of the 20 hours until my power came on. at medium brightness. I own 3 sets now, worth it.

Strung these up around my son’s top bunk. You can lower the brightness so they work well as a night light. There aren’t really instructions on how to use the remote control, but it’s fairly easy to figure out. The different modes (flashing, steady, etc.) all work great. You’ll need to think about where place the sensor for the remote before you string them up – you need to have a pretty clear line of sight for them to connect.
