This is perfect for young kids who enjoy music or having independence. My oldest is 7 and he loves to set his own alarm for school mornings, asks Alexa random questions, and requests his favorite songs. The sound is awesome. Can be very loud, sometimes too loud we have to go in the app and turn down the fun lol. The set up and connectivity was a breeze! We love that we can control his device from our phones as far as setting alarms, sending alerts, or even talking to our kids through the device. Itâs a GREAT value for the price and performance.

Bought this for my grandsons room and he loves the design and functionality. He loves to make announcements to all of us letting us know he’s awake at 6am. So lovely to hear his voice so early in the morning. When he’s not making announcements, he usually asks Alexa to play some games with him or play a song at the loudest possible setting. (luckily we can control that). Great parental control so he can’t play any songs that are not appropriate for his age (5 yrs).

Itâs cute and perfect for my daughterâs room. I didnât like that with the Amazon kids on, you couldnât use it as a regular Alexa. For instance, I couldnât access my Amazon music playlists on it. I had to turn off Amazon kids and now it works like a regular alexa

Doesn’t do everything I had hoped but still great
I got this after babysitting my niece and her not knowing exactly how long to brush her teeth. We used my Alexa at home to set a timer for her and she really seemed to like that. She also liked that we were able to ask random facts. So I bought it for her and had it shipped to her house and her dad set it up under his Amazon account. I was tickled and thrilled when she was able to send me a text message and call me on my Alexa at home. The next time I babysat her we were playing songs and dancing in the living room and unfortunately it didn’t play or have full access to all the music we would like to play. Perhaps there’s some kind of parental control that can change the level of limitations and access to music but I can’t speak to that as I did not have her device registered to my account. Otherwise it’s been great fun and she’s loved it so much!
