Tyra Banks leads a new season of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL in Cycle 11, themed “Feel the Love,” as 14 young women – including the series first ever transgender contestant – contend for a $100,000 CoverGirl contract, an Elite Model Management deal, and a cover and six-page fashion spread in Seventeen magazine. Vying for the “America’s Next Top Model” honor, the young women were challenged to learn pose techniques while on a ladder suspended in the air, conduct an impromptu fashion show – blindfolded, model bathing suits with notable photographer Russell James, as well as learn how water bottles, clips and other supplies come into play in a modeling career. While in Amsterdam, the ladies were tasked with filming a CoverGirl commercial in Dutch, and showcasing their most extreme look in front of the country’s iconic windmills. Cycle 11 includes guest appearances by Benny Ninja, the Aswirl Twins and Ed Alonzo, among others.

Being a photographer, I am always looking for new ways to photograph my clients and ANTM gives me that ability each time I watch one of its seasons. As always the girls who are competing sometimes give up and the winner is the last person you would have chosen from the beginning. If all jobs in the world were based on what you actually do other than what you write on paper maybe companies would have better employees in deed rather than in words.

I’m embarrassed to admit just how much this show entertains me. Tyra’s demonstration of the difference between smiling with her eyes vs. without her eyes has forever changed my life. Now I know how to be fierce.

I enjoy these series and don’t usually watch this type of tv. Each show is interesting on its own and the whole season is a treat. Just wish ya’ll would get the series from Great Britain, Australia and so forth.
