Great Addition To A First Aid Kit
As Grandparents we are always very concerned with the safety of anyone that visits, but particularly the children. It’s so easy for a small child to pop something in their mouth and choke on it.My Wife and I went on a Grandparenting course where they teach you how to remove obstructions from a young child. Whilst we both felt better armed to assist after that, when I spotted this device I got it right away as it makes providing that assistance simpler and probably much more effective.The device itself operates a lot like a sink plunger except it operates in reverse. There is a one way valve that lets out the air when you push it down and creates a vacuum effect when you pull it up. It comes with 3 sizes of mask for Adults, Youth and Child.It’s a very simple device to use you just attach a suitable sized face mask, Hold it firmly against the face of the choking person, push down on the plunger and then pull up. For this to work effectively the persons head should be against a firm surface such as the floor. If you were to attempt this with their head on a cushion or soft furniture it may not work well.The masks themselves have a very soft plastic rim that seals particularly effectively. For example if you place it on a smooth surface it will firmly suction onto that surface.There are very good instructions in both English and Spanish along with a quick refence card. You certainly should practice with this and be familiar with it’s use before you might need to use it in an emergency!

Absolutely a life saver
The adult mask is a good fit, the one-way valve works as it should and provides a good suction stroke. I am keeping this one in the glove compartment of my car with both size masks just in case I find myself in an emergency while out and about. The quality seems decent.I like the color and how easy it is to use this device. It seems to work well for a choking device. I hope I don’t have to use it in the future but knowing that I have it gives me piece of mind. The cushions on the mask are inflated for extreme comfort.Back in the day, I had to use the heimlick On my neice 3 times that I remember. I of course was younger and stronger. I’m now old, a grandmother and not as strong. Now that I babysit my grandkids, God forbid if they would choke on something and I don’t have the strength to use the heimlick. That’s where this device comes in. It’s so easy to use too that a small child could use it to save an adult.

Hope to never use it
The small is a bit small and the large is a bit large for a 3-5 year old. We tested this on adults and it does create some suction. It comes in a nice carrying bag that allows you to take it in travels with is great. It’s a nice product to have for emergencies.

The product appears to be well-made and fits well over the mouth. I feel much better knowing have this handy just in case.I have been wanting to get an anti-choking device for our first aid kit. It looks well made…easy to use with straightforward directions. It has three masks, two different sizes for youth and adults.. It’s best to have this on hand when and if an emergency occurs. Great deal and value for a lifesaving product. I recommend.This product should be a must have in every household. Though I hope to never use it, it just gives you a nice comfortable feeling that you have this in your first aid kit and is readily available. It has a powerful suction and can be used in both kids and adults.
