So cute AND effective
Works great for hyperpigmentation and blemishes. Been using it for about 2 weeks maybe constantly, and Iâve noticed a change in my skin. I also wake up with my skin less oily/shiny.

Oh I really like this serum by AprilSkin. Where do I begin with how beautiful this product is?I have been using snail mucin almost every day for a long time now and admit I am a fanIn some ways I like this Pink Aloe Mucin better. It’s a tough call for sure. This serum is absolutely delightful. It is fragrance free, completely non sticky or tacky. The texture is light and almost gel like. It has a gorgeous moisturizing effect that my dry sensitive skin took to instantly. It felt so good on and left my face so soft, dewy, and glowy. I used it in place of my snail mucin in my skincare routine and I did not miss the snail mucin. I can see myself replacing my snail serums with this once I use the remaining bottles of it. Don’t get me wrong I like snail mucin a lot but this is equally as good if not better in my opinion. This product is an outstanding alternative to snail mucin and the pink aloe mucin it contains does very good things for my skin causing no irritations of any kindThis product comes well sealed and packaged with a real glass bottle that is display worthy. The whole presentation from box to bottle is simply pretty in pink!It comes with an expiration date and an ingredients list that is a little hard to read as it is in white writing against the pink box but I can live with that. This contains Pink Aloe and the serum itself does have a faint hue of pink to it, along with Niacinamide and other great ingredients. This one is a definite keeper for me and I absolutely recommend it. I am going to explore more products from this brandALWAYS do a patch test 24 hours before using any new skin care products

Good for hydration, not so much tone or texture
If youâre familiar with snail mucin, this serum has a similar texture and effect. It spreads smoothly and feels super slippery. My skin drinks it up quickly and even when I apply more than intended, it absorbs completely as long as I keep rubbing it in. The absorption is fast, but not so quick that I need to apply it to my face one section at a time. Once absorbed, the serum leaves my skin feeling super soft and slightly tacky but not sticky. I often layer it, applying a second layer without any issues, and that layer absorbs just as quickly as the first. I experienced no irritation with this serum, which I expected due to its gentle, hydrating ingredients.After using this product twice daily for nine days, I mainly noticed improvements in hydration and moisturization. I didnât see any noticeable changes in skin tone or texture, which made me question the validity of AprilSkin’s claims. Typically, such results require more active ingredients, but this formula mainly has calming, hydrating ingredients. And when you really examine the claims – 0.97% more even skin after seven days; 1.39% reduction in pigmentation or the appearance of it after four weeks – the results seem minimal and rather trivial. The product photos might suggest significant improvements in pigmentation and skin texture, but my experience didn’t reflect such dramatic results.Overall, this was a great serum for targeting hydration. I’m not so sure about the other claims but maybe other people might have different experiences.

Not Snail Mucin, But An Excellent Alternative
When products with snail mucin first came out, I thought to myself, “Yeah. No.” I was never going to put snail secretion on my face, but after a friend couldn’t stop raving about her experience with and how beautiful her complexion looked, I grudgingly decided to give it a try. Initially…ICK! But now I’ve the one raving about it!The thought of it still kind of hits me as really gross, so after seeing this product listed with aloe “mucin” instead of snail mucin I had to order and try it.My favorite Korean name brand serum contains 78% real snail mucin. Tried a different one that had 72% real mucin and it was shocking how much it sucked. Six percent makes a difference? Really?Conversely, I was amazed how well this one with 78% aloe mucin worked. It’s nearly identical to the real stuff. The slightly tacky initial feel while applying was the same. The way my moisturizer worked with it was the same. Makeup went on just as flawlessly with the same dewy finish.Now I did say, “nearly identical.’ Only difference is this doesn’t last as long as the real stuff. My snail mucin serum lasts throughout the day and usually up until the time I wash it off. With this one I noticed my skin feeling not has protected after 4-6 hours. (Yeah, that’s getting nit-picky.)It feels the same, works the same and for it to last several hours is still great, so I’m giving it an Overall Rating of 5 Stars since it truly is an excellent alternative to the really great icky stuff.
