Endless uses.
As Iâm sure you can see from the reviews, this is a great buy. I keep buying more and more! I use some as light switches, but thatâs just the beginning. The things you can program these buttons to do can be very complex. I have mine running complex lighting automations, with functions that change throughout the day in a perfectly intuitive way. I have them hidden throughout the house to serve various functions. Iâve got one on my fan, and not only can it turn the fan on and off, it can also adjust itâs speed, and it can automatically switch between two set points where I want the fan pointed.Iâve even got one set up as an emergency button for my grandma. If she presses it, the hub plays an alarm, and everyone in the family gets a Critical Alert from the Aqara iOS app, so even if we have silent mode or do not disturb on, weâll know thereâs an emergency. It even works on Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac! One of these buttons could genuinely save a life. And I can feel safe relying on them, because I have a reliable internet connection both at home and on the go. The Aqara buttons are extremely responsive. Quick, reliable, well made, cheap, highly customizable, and they work with everything you could ever hope for.Especially once Thread versions of Aqara products arrive, Iâm gonna be loyal to Aqara for a long time. I just couldnât wait for these buttons to be Thread based to do it.

Great product, great value.
Bought my second one of these buttons. Love the zigbee reliability. Easy setup. Great value.

Nice small button
Works great in home assistant. HA sees single and double clicks so you can write automations based on those. I am not using the aqara hub, I use a zigbee dongle that’s connected directly to home assistant.

Great wireless button, not always reliable
I just got into doing some home automation using Homekit and have found the Aqara devices to be a great group of products. First off, yes, you DO need the Aqara hub. The description is very clear about this, so anyone who is giving this product 1 star because of that really needs some help and is being unfair to the product.Once you connect the switch to the Aqara hub, what’s nice about it is that it exposes all three button modes to Homekit, so you can assign any automations you like with other Homekit compatible accessories right from the Apple Home app or other Homekit apps like Eve or Home+ 4.Currently, I’m using these to launch different lighting scenes in different rooms. The only issue I’ve experienced so far is the fact that they don’t tend to work all the time. You press the button and nothing happens. You wait and press it again. Nothing. Then it works the third time. Most the time, they DO work as advertised. I use the single press to launch one lighting scene, double press to launch a different lighting scene, and long press to turn off all the lights. Of course what you assign the button modes is completly up to you!Once last note about these is that since they use a Zigbee signal (I believe Aqara uses a bit of a non-standard version), the range is pretty good. My hub is upstairs and most of my sensors and buttons are downstairs, and all of them show signal strength ranging from acceptable to strong. I will only purchase wifi or zigbee based accessories and am staying away from Bluetooth only devices with their horrible signal ranges.

Cool Switch!
The switch is made of a high-quality and durable material that is able to withstand frequent use. It is also very easy to install and use, requiring only the AQARA HUB and a few simple steps to set up.One of the standout features of the mini switch is its versatility. The switch is able to control a variety of smart home devices, including lights, fans, and appliances. It is also compatible with a variety of smart home platforms, including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, making it a convenient and flexible choice for controlling your smart home.In terms of design, it is very sleek and stylish. It has a compact and discreet design that is easy to install and blends in well with most home decor. The switch is also very easy to use, with a simple and straightforward process for controlling your devices.Overall, I recommend the switch. It is a high-quality and convenient choice that is perfect for controlling your smart home devices. The versatility and compatibility are great added bonuses, making it a reliable and practical choice for anyone.

Compatible directly with SmartThings with proper install
Perfectly fits my need for a simple tabletop switch for lamps with smart bulbs or on smart plugs w/o invoking voice commands. As Zigbee device does need a hub but Smatthings v3 worked very well with correct Edge driver. Either the Veon or Obmaz worked fine. I did not need a separate Aqara hub. Enroll your SmartThings hub in to one of these drivers before attempting switch inclusion. BTW seems this mini switch is most often classed as a remote.Linking is a little tricky I think because the switch goes to sleep so quickly that linking is interrupted. To link push and hold the SIDE button for 3 sec to get flashing LED. Now, press same button momentarily (quick push and release} every 30 or so sec to keep awake. This process really helps smoother inclusion.I have two switches and really like the.

Linked to the hub easily though the app. The device is small and can be hidden if needed . It preforms tasks with a single press ,double press or a long press which use to control a fan . I will definitely be getting more of these . There also great value for money

While the button functions fine and is ok for my use case this button is an old (2018) model. This limits your smart home integration to single or double click and long press. The newer button that looks identical has more options so more ways to control your smart home with a single button.
