Super easy setup!
Iâve been using this button for a few days now, and itâs been a great addition to my smart home. Pairing it with different platforms was really straightforward (Home Assistant picked it up right away). I did try connecting it to Google Home, but later found out that Google doesnât currently support generic switches like this one. Thatâs more on Google than the button itself, so no blame there. One thing I really liked was the included stickers, which makes it easy to label and organize if youâve got a few of these around. Itâs a simple but nice touch.A few things to note: Home Assistant works with this button but it does take a little big of rigging to get it to do more complex automations. Stickers are cool but you need to line them up properly to make them look good.Iâll be updating this review in a few months once Iâve had time to test the battery life, but so far, Iâm happy with how itâs working out.

item looks used
The box does not have any seal, came with a used up battery and the product itself has a stain. Everything seems to imply the product is used. It works as expected after replacing with a new battery. Function wise it’s great. But I’m disappointed with the condition.

ARRE SMART BUTTON
Cool button, has a great design. Very light weight and automations are super easy to use in Apple Home. Paired to SmartThings from Apple Home for 2 sets of automations.

This is a Thread device… Still…
——————————-Update September 30th, 2024I have been contacted by the seller. As they said they would do, they added “**Thread Border Route Required**”.That does not change what I originally posted (below), but at least it makes it clear how it operates BEFORE you buy it.I appreciate their making it clear before you buy. I still wish it was pure Matter device so I don’t have to add yet ANOTHER device to my system.I DO thank them for making this clarification! The added information makes my wary statement about possible false advertising untrue.——————————-Original review below:——————————-When I attempted to pair this “Matter” device, the pairing failed saying: “Your device requires a Thread border router”. “Connect your border router, then try setting up your device”.I have added several true Matter devices and NONE of them needed a “border router”. This is a “Thread” device that can be added THROUGH Matter, if you spend the extra money to buy a “Thread border router”.—-No longer true, see above:—-I would almost say this is FALSE ADVERTISING, but surely Amazon would pull this product if that were true, right?

Does the job simply
I wanted a matter/thread/HomeKit button that just worked natively in HomeKit. Opened the box, took out the button, opened Home app on my iPhone, added accessory, scanned qr on the back, done. After that I setup a simple shortcut to with an if/otherwise to toggle on and off my other Homekit device. Done. No app needed, no login or account, no wifi syncing, nothing. It just works.

Its ok. Does what it is supposed to do.
UPDATE: TUO has rebranded itself as ARRE.————————————————————–PROS: +Small form factor. +Simple and clean appearance. +Very easy to pair with Apple HomeKit +Button press results in quick response +Rules and automations can be further customized for HomeKit by using the Eve app.CONS: -The tactile and audio feedback experience from pressing the ARRE button is poor. Pressing the button to activate any action results in a somewhat loud and “plastic-y” clicking sound (one click when the button is engaged and one click when the button is released). The sound and feel of pressing the button immediately informs the user that the ARRE device is constructed of a low quality plastic.SUMMARY: The ARRE button has one job and, functionally, it does that job pretty well. However, that ONE job requires interacting with the button in ONE specific manner (pressing it). Because the real-life experience of actually *pressing* the button is lacking, it really puts a damper on my overall satisfaction with the device.

Small Business that stands behind its products
I purchased two TUO branded smart buttons before the company changed the name to Arre. Sadly after a few months one of the buttons disconnected from Apple Home randomly and despite many efforts I could not recover it. The replacment button that I ordered didn’t connect right out of the box. I decided to reach out for support and got a CALL back right away (rare these days for an actual person to call on the phone right?). After walking me through a firmware update I was able to get BOTH buttons working again. Amazing service. I love a company that stands behind their products and does everything they can to resolve issues. The support agent also confirmed that their buttons new firmware would result in more efficient battery life so that is also great! I will continue to be a loyal arre supporter as long as this kind of quality technical support continues. Excellent product plus amazing support equals a happy customer!

Not as good as I expect
Size and design is good! But price is not so kind. it is difficult to connect it to apps such as Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings. Anyway, I could connect it to Apple Home.
