Almost as fast as the internal hard drive
Obviously, I got this to extend my ps5s storage capability. I plugged it into the back of my PS5 and went to my settings and noticed it was already formatted for the ps5. I was able to download my save settings from the cloud and also some of the games I wanted to store on there. I had another hard drive previously and it was really slow. This one is almost as fast as accessing it from the actual ps5. That’s a huge plus when you’re playing a game where it constantly has to load environments. It does make a little bit of noise but it’s not terrible. All in all, I’m very happy with it.

If you have a ps5 then this is detrimental.
Bought this for my husband when we bought his ps5. Nice sleek look, matches the ps5 so aesthetically pleasing sitting beside it. Works really well and quickly. Holds a ton of games. When you want to play them you just transfer the game over to the ps5. It only takes a few minutes and now he can hold any game he wants. We currently have 22 games on it and still have plenty of space for more.

Third time’s the charm! I had tried 2 other brands, one which worked with my PS4, both of which met the required specifications, without success in connecting with my PS5. It would recognize them, but would not engage in the file transfer. This one did the trick! 2.75 tb total. So far so good! It’s larger than expected but it looks a bit like a mini PS5. Recommended!

3TB External for PS5. Works great & fast!!
This is a decent size storage for me. The process was easy to set up. I got 14 games loaded on to it and I have 2.05 Tb left. If you have a lot of games then 5TB or higher should do you good.
