Sturdy and well built
This trowel is great. Iâve used pieces of wood to hammer it through roots and past rocks and it doesnât even look used yet. Very well built.

It’s a necessity.
What can I say it’s lightweight considering and it does the job. Also digs out my little fire pit for my titanium Grill. Sometimes you need to dig a hole. You can carry your shovel if you want. I might need to firmly plant a Lodge Pole. And you can dig six inches down or better in about a 4-in circumference to fit just about any pole you find two to three inches in circumference. This tool works great for that kind of stuff and is space saver.

Backpacking trowel.
This trowel seems sturdy, but I have not put it to use yet. I am thinking of putting a short wood handle into the hollow handle of the trowel. The sheath or cover is cheaply made and I wouldn’t expect it to hold up. This is a better option than a plastic trowel in my opinion and could be just what I was looking for to take the place of a larger and heavier shovel.

Well worth the extra weight in your pack
I traded in my deuce of spades for this – it easily cuts small roots when trying responsibly create that 6 inch deep pit stop off trail. It also helped to easily create a small trench to drain pooling water that tried to ruin our tent site on a backpacking trip during a bad rain. The handle makes it so easy to use and the storage sleeve that comes with it works great for when you canât fully get it clean.

Bought this for my emergency kit. Seems very sturdy and good quality for the money.

Essential Tool for Outdoor Adventures!
I bought the Backpacking Trowel for my sonâs camping trip, and he couldnât be happier with it! He mentioned itâs one of the best purchases heâs made on his own. The trowel is incredibly sturdy and made of high-quality materials, which gives me confidence in its durability.Itâs lightweight and compact, making it easy to pack for hiking and outdoor activities. Heâs used it for various tasks, from digging to gardening, and it has performed exceptionally well. While itâs still early to assess long-term durability, it seems like a reliable tool for any outdoor enthusiast. Overall, I highly recommend this multitool for anyone looking for a versatile and dependable shovel for camping or hiking!

Better than just an ordinary trowel.
First of all, itâs a trowel. In my mind I thought, âok, so what, itâs a trowelâ. But, there are some key things that make this worth this review and better than your typical trowel.1. It is very sturdy. We have had many that just bend with a little use. Not this one. Itâs built for rugged use and to last. I hated digging a hole and having the handle bend on the cheap ones.2. Itâs a great sharp point which makes digging out the roots of things super easy.3. It has a small ruler built in so you can easily see depth of the hole and measure the tool base of the plant for the correct fit. The ruler is also great for plant/flower spacing.4. The edge is super sharp so cutting stems is easy. It nice to have one tool to do More than one thing.5. The serrated edge is great for those stubborn roots or stalks that just donât want to break.A couple of improvements Iâd like to see are: the paracord wrapped handle. I found this to be almost useless because the paracord slides off and there is no way to make it stay in place. The other thing is the cut outs for tightening/loosening nuts. Iâm just not sure Iâd use those ever.Overall, It really is multipurpose. Trim, dig, measure, cut, plant, itâs good for all. Iâd pay about $10-15 in the store for a cheap one that would bend after a little use. Iâm glad to have this one in my gardening box.

I hiked, I dug, I pooped.
Served itâs purpose well. Didnât hurt my hands digging an award winning poop hole. A bit bulky for the backpack but light.
