Good coverage, has held up well
I (5’9″ woman with average sized head) bought two of these two years ago, and am now buying a third so that my two kids and I all have one. My 7yo and 10yo boys have heads the same size as mine (they inherited giant heads from their dad, lol), and this balaclava works great for both of them and for myself. It’s not terribly thick, but if it were it wouldn’t fit under a helmet well, and it’s thick enough to keep us warm! We’ve used them 3-5 times a year for the past two years (we don’t generally use them unless the temps dip down in to the teens or lower, not counting wind-chill), and I’ve put them through the dryer numerous times and the washer several times, and these have held up well. The face-covering portion is just right–not too tight and not too loose. For adults with huge heads, though, this probably won’t be ideal–it’s too small to be comfortable for my husband (he wears size 8 in baseball hats, for reference).

Just what I needed and wanted!
I had been using a wool balaclava for years; they were the ones with open eye sockets, nose and mouth orifices. They were heavy, constrictive and overall, they were not as comfortable as I wanted. I discovered this pair which not only had better visibility, breathability, multiple ways of wearing it and much more comfortable as well as keeping my face warm. Also, my hearing is not impaired which is ofter an overlooked feature but which may well prove to be an indispensable safety feature. With a good pair of goggles, I am now fully protected from harsh wind, snow and ice while outside. These are perfect for my needs and I expect you will feel the same. Oh yes, they are well made and I expect them to wear very well.

Excellent Protection!
The Balaclava Ski Mask is perfect for cold-weather activities! I’ve used it for skiing and motorcycle riding, and it provides excellent protection from the wind and cold without feeling bulky. The material is soft, breathable, and stretches comfortably to fit snugly without being too tight. It covers my entire face, neck, and head, leaving just enough room for goggles or glasses. I love that itâs versatile enough to wear in different styles, and it keeps me warm in freezing temperatures. Whether you’re skiing, snowboarding, or riding in the winter, this mask is a must-have for staying comfortable and protected. Highly recommend!

It’s a little too small if you’re about 6′ tall
Im female 5’11” and not overweight, with not quite shoulder length hair. The mask doesn’t really go down far enough around the neck, and it doesn’t go down far enough onto my forehead or hold well enough on my forehead, frequently slipping over to the middle of the top of my head. I do have a small ponytail tied low, but it hasn’t been an issue for other brand balaclavas. It’s good against light wind but not very breathable in my opinion. Seems warm and appears to protect the ears decently if pulled up.

âNo brainerâ
I bought this last October for cold weather motorcycle riding but I havenât been able to find it yet this year. I was looking at alternatives but I figured for the price, next day shipping, and how freaking good this balaclava is, why look elsewhere?I used this every single ride last winter in freezing temps (Western, NY) and it worked great. Fit perfectly under my helmet, the material is very nice, itâs durable, didnât lose its shape as I put my helmet on or during rides, kept my face, neck and head warm and I never felt a draft. It was pretty amazing⦠the fact that I was out riding in 30°F weather for hours and felt perfectly comfortable. Without this balaclava I would freeze!Canât wait to ride with this again. Something about having the right gear and riding comfortably while most people retire their bikes for the winter is pretty cool. Goretex, Thinsulate, merino wool, some good cold weather riding pants and jacket, maybe some heated gloves and youâre good to go!I can imagine this mask would work just as good for snowmobiling, skiing and any other snow sports, hiking, working outside, under a hard hat⦠fine product, 5 âï¸
