Great cycling shorts
This is my second Baleaf cycling shorts purchase. This particular pair seemed to be advertised as a slightly upgraded variation (with a thicker chamois & side pockets) versus the Baleaf pair I already own. I immediately used the new shorts for a 45-mile ride on a very hot/humid day, and found them to be very comparable to my high-end name-brand shorts that are similar, without the higher price tag. The material on the Baleaf shorts is slightly thinner and maybe just a bit less compressive than my name-brand shorts, but I have not found that to be an issue. The waistband is comfortable and does not sag, and the chamois feels a little more comfortable for longer distances than the chamois on my name-brand shorts. I’m not sure if that’s due to the contouring or the nature of the padding itself. I often find myself using Baleaf shorts for my longer rides due to the comfort of the chamois. And the legs on these shorts do not ride up. While my name-brand shorts also have leg grips, I still have to do a leg adjustment at least once or twice during particularly hot/sweaty rides. So far, I haven’t had to fiddle with these at all. They stay put during the entire ride. I also love the pockets on the side for extra storage, and they’ll easily hold some additional nutrition or other essentials.I needed an extra pair of shorts in my rotation since I usually ride 4 times per week and I’m very happy I decided to purchase this new pair from Baleaf. I’m 5’1″ tall, weigh around 90 pounds, and have a 27″ waist and a 32″ hip. The XS is a good fit for me. I wash all of my workout clothing with a detergent specifically formulated for exercise gear and I hang my cycling shorts/jerseys to dry. I have found my other Baleaf gear to be durable if cared for properly.

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THIS ITEM. WHEN I TOOK THE BIKE SHORTS OUT OF THE BAG, I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. THEY LOOKED VERY SHORT AND I KNEW I HAD TO RETURN THEM. BUT, I TRIED THEM ON AND TO MY SURPRISE THEY FIT PERFECTLY (SO YOU KNOW I WILL BE KEEPING THEM.) THEY FEEL AND LOOK GREAT. THE FABRIC IS VERY SOFT AND THEY ARE EASY TO TAKE OF, THE PADDING IS NICE AND THICK, NO PAIN IN THESE. IF YOU PLAN TO BIKE THIS SUMMER PURCHASE A COUPLE OF BIKE SHORTS THAT YOU WILL ENJOY. Nicely padded bike shorts!
I was surprised at how perfectly padded these bike shorts. Very comfortable especially at my sit bones. I purchased the Lycra style. I like it. Well made. Like everyone else said, I got a size larger. They fit ok. A tad larger in the waist than I am. Definitely larger in the thighs. This causes some abrasion with the non-slip edge. I kept them because I wear them under other Lycra bike leggings. Best padding I have ever had. Thatâs why I kept them.

narrow tight waistband
Quite disappointed with those. The waist has a very narrow string stretch as a waistband that cuts into my abdomen while the rest of the shorts feel almost too big. Material also feels cheep, almost plastic like. I’ve bought several Baleaf running tights that are extraordinarily comfortable and are made of good quality material so this is a big bummer. Will absolutely not buy again and cannot recommend.

Good quality
Any review without the persons measurements isn’t very helpful to me so…..My waist runs 29/30 inches with hips at 36. I am 130 pounds and 5 feet 8 inches in height. I have no hips and not much of a butt, so getting things that fit/stay up ( without an option of a belt) is a challenges. I ordered the large to start with going off the size chart, but ended up returning for a Medium. While snug in the waist, I’m fine with that as it will mean I am not continually pulling them up. Nice quality and feel of fabric. Nice padding where it’s intended. I do not plan to use these for riding a bike. I bought them to wear under my riding pants while riding horses long distances. I have yet to use them so can’t speak to durability.

Iâve been looking for short bike shorts because Iâm 5â3 and other brands run long on me. They are high waisted which I like and the padding works well. They are a bit loose in the waist but perfect in the legs and great for the price point. They have pockets and a zipper pouch which is great!

I like how they fit. I am only five feet tall so the length is good. I weigh 125 lbs. I ordered a small and medium because reviews said to order a size bigger. The small are perfect. Medium was way too large. I have only worn them cycling once to try them out. The padding stays in place but could be thicker. I only ride a few miles at a time so they be good.
