Perfect winter running jacket in 0-40° and well built for the price
I run on the Lake Erie coast throughout the year and needed a warmer and hi-vis jacket for winter. The prices of that kinda gear from the major athletic apparel brands and running gear companies have priced themselves well outside my reasonable budget. $120 and up… No way!I decided to give this jacket a gamble knowing I would return if it didn’t impress me. For the price, I can’t complain about anything. It keeps me warm in very cold and windy conditions. The yellow color is insanely bright and my buddy got orange which is also very hi-vis. I’ve only had a couple weeks (8-10 runs) and can’t speak on long term durability but I am very impressed with the build quality.I’m 6’2″, 175lbs, 41″ chest with inconveniently long arms. The Large size fits me in a way that I can describe as “form fitting”, which as a skinny guy, I’m happy about. The jacket is plenty warm so no need to layer up with bulky layers. If it’s below 25°, I’ll wear a long sleeve thermal athletic shirt and then a short sleeve shirt for anything over 25. Once I’m running, the jacket can keep the heat in. I’ll occasionally open the chest vents or drop the zipper a bit if I get too warm. The sleeves are normal length relative to other large sized cloths without a tall size option.

Sizing chart is correct. Nice fitting jacket. Good Quality.
I bought a size XL. I am 6 feet 200 lbs with a 46 inch chest and a 38 inch waist. that puts me at the upper end of the XL size. the jacket fits perfectly. body length and arm length are right on. There is plenty of room for me to wear layers under the jacket. The jacket fits well, and is not baggy on me. The fabric appears to be a very tight knit polyester. It breaths and you dont sweat because of this jacket. I dont know about the claim of wearing it down to 20 degrees – I guess that depends on what layers you wear. I am new to the Baleaf brand but am a big fan. I also bought their non padded running tights in size xl and they fit perfectly. Much better value from Baleaf than from the bicycle companies that cant mark their products up high enough. Good job Baleaf, I have purchased 4 items from you, happy with every one.

It’s not windproof, Black color is not as pictured
The jacket appears mostly black, though some sections have a slight sheen that doesn’t photograph well, making it look uneven in pictures. I ride an e-bike, so I’m usually moving faster and sweating less than manual cyclists. The airflow is decentâwhen I’m at speed, air circulates through the jacket, keeping me comfortable at around 65°F, with a layer underneath, it’s great. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for colder weather below 60°F unless you’re doing strenuous physical activity. In the thinner sections, (in the photo)you can see light pass through the fabric, and it also lets air pass through. Overall, I like the fitâit’s sleek, not bulky, and feels high-quality. The fabric folds compactly and is very lightweight, making it feel weightless in a backpack.I went back and forth about sending it back but decided to keep it.

Surprisingly Nice!
This is perfect for fall mountain biking in Northern Virginia, very bright. I like all the pockets and it feels very well made.

GREAT Jacket for the Price!
It’s hard to believe how affordable this jacket is compared to super pricey jackets that do the same thing. I commute by bike to work in all weather, and I recently bought this jacket for cold weather commuting. This morning’s commute was in the 30s, windy, and wet. I wore a t-shirt, a long-sleeved mid-layer, and this jacket on top and was quite comfortable. One thing I like about the Baleaf products I’ve bought so far is that they fit normal sized people well. I’m 6’2″ and 220 pounds, so I’m not tiny. The XL jacket fits very comfortably. The collar is high enough to provide a good bit of neck coverage. The pockets on the back are roomy. The jacket is slightly stretchy, so I didn’t feel like a stuffed sausage when layering up, and the bright yellow color is hard to miss (although I still drive as if I’m invisible, because as a bike rider, I could be sporting police lights and I swear half the drivers on the road still wouldn’t notice me). This is my new favorite jacket.
