When I saw that this was ideal for people with oily and acne prone skin I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did because it absorbed in my skin nicely and did not make my skin look or feel oily. I’m glad the Beauty of Joseon company came up with this product so people here in the US can purchase their brand of sunscreen through Amazon.

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing this.The tube shown on the left with the white cap is one of many tubes that I have purchased from the TikTok shop, which was selling from retailers of the legitimate Original Beauty of Joseon sunblock with NO white cast, NO sunblock taste or smell, and amazingly lightweight yet perfectly moisturizing, NO pilling, and perfect alone OR under makeup, and can even use around my sensitive eyes… blows away ANY other drugstore OR high end sunblock and I’ve tried so many!!!The formula they are selling on Amazon is COMPLETELY different… With that horrible sunblock smell and taste, burning my eyes, and a very greasy, shiny, heavy finish, not fresh and dewy like the original.I went on ChatGPT to ask why they’re not selling the original true Korean formula on Amazon and this is what it said:“It’s possible that Beauty of Joseon has chosen to sell different versions of their products on various platforms for strategic reasons. They may offer a different formulation on Amazon to appeal to a broader audience, or there could be distribution agreements that limit which products can be sold through specific channels. Additionally, regulatory or ingredient-related restrictions might affect availability, and it’s also possible they are testing market preferences for different versions of their sunblock. For their original sunblock, you might need to purchase directly from their website or other authorized retailers.”I really hope that in the future Beauty of Joseon decides to sell the original formula on Amazon because I don’t like having to wait a week or so like when I buy it from other retailers, but I will gladly stock up/wait longer for delivery rather than ever get this formula again. Immediately returned…so disappointed. ☹️

This one is slightly different but great nonetheless
This is not the rice + probiotics one…this is different than what’s advertised on tik tok…it’s thicker/denser. It feels more like a cream than lotion. Still moisturizes but I prefer the other formula over this one. I do enjoy it though, it’s a great product.

BEWARE – New formula with sunscreen smell
This is not the same the same formula as the original BOJ rice+probiotics sunscreen. Actually the entire product has changed, the original is no longer sold on Amazon and has been replaced by this.This new formula has a sunscreen smell. It’s not super strong but for someone that cannot stand the smell of sunscreen on their face everyday it’s a dealbreaker. I had to return and buy from a different supplier that still sells the original formula.Picture – Original one on the left, new on the right.
