Excellent product.
I bought this for myself and my wife one for each side of our bed about 4 years ago 1 day my in-laws came over and for whatever reason was in our bedroom and saw them and loved them. So for christmas, I ordered another 24 them and I will continue to order these for my family members as they age. These are not difficult to put together. Super easy, they are lightweight. They are a bit awkward to carry from room to room just because they’re long and somewhat wide. But why don’t you get them underneath your mattress? You really just push and they go underneath your body. Weight keeps them in place. They’re extremely durable. I’ve had mine up in my room for a few years now. And I am so thankful that I have them when my back hurts. I use them. I use them every day. My wife also uses hers everyday and has shoulder problems as well as back problems. And this is easy to use. The foam grip is very useful. It doesn’t hurt your hand. And because of the width, there’s a wide variety of angles in which to grasp it. It’s not really adjustable a whole lot, but it is adjustable.Due to the many different handgrips that you can use

Why did I wait so long?
I really like this rail! It’s easy to put together and slip under the mattress. I have it from the lower half of my pillow level and the other half of the rail extends to around shoulder level. The height is adjustable. The only thing I would change about it is I would put the bag on the bed side instead of the opposite side so I can reach the pockets easier when I’m in bed. But this rail has helped me lie down and sit up greatly. I don’t know why I waited so long to get it. Great quality and sturdy. Great purchase!

Effective but there was a defect
It came quickly, was easy to put together and my only complaint is that the spring lock tabs and the holes they are supposed to lock in are on opposite sides of the post. The support is locked in place, but I cannot lock the u-bar that goes under the mattress or use the safety strap as intended. That said, I’m not using it for a senior human- my senior pit bull keeps falling off the bed and I needed it to keep him safe it does seem to work, but the younger dogs are afraid of it for some reason.

As described, excellent
Easy to put together. Bought for elder who recently had a mild stroke and needed something to grab onto to get out of bed – he likes it a lot. I like it because it is very sturdy and has a strap that attaches to bed frame to keep it secure. Have two male relatives that need it, one is 180 lb, the other is 280 lb, strong enough for either to use. Pouch keeps coming off. The cell phone holder is not worth it except to secure smaller cell phone close by for emergencies – I’ve tried these with two people and they aren’t really helpful unless user has a smaller/lighter phone. They don’t really position well, or hold heavier phone well to watch videos – glad we tried it, may be good to try depending on your need, & phone size/weight. 5 stars because it meets the primary need – the pouch and phone holder weren’t why we got it.

I purchased this for my Mother-in-law to help her get in and out of our guest bed (when she visits). After her stroke, she has had a hard time getting in/out of bed. This item gives her more support and she can grab it to help her get up and readjust herself in bed.It is very secure with the added strap so we feel it stays in place and is helpful to her; allowing some more independence.
