    My new nutrition bible
    This book is my new health and wellness bible. I loved it so much, I was actually sad when I finished it. I have a proclivity for nutrition and health books, and I’m often frustrated by competing nutritional theories that seem at polar opposite sides of the spectrum (looking at you vegan vs. paleo). This book brought it all together in a cohesive, unifying way, while still accommodating those different dietary preferences. The tone was light, fun, approachable, but the information is solidly supported by research.I’ve started incorporating the FAB4 diet into my lifestyle and it works! I’m not trying to lose weight, but rather improve overall health (and wean myself off of the gummy bear/potato chip habit). I feel so satiated with this nutritional approach and my cravings have completely disappeared. Seriously! I also feel that my blood sugar is finally in balance, and that has immensely helped my focus at work and my mood (no hangry snaps at my husband). I’m sleeping better than I have ever slept in my life and I just feel great!And the recipes are good! Like REALLY GOOD. When I told my husband we were trying them, he initially did his “not another healthy meal” pleading, but now he can’t stop talking about how good they are. Some of the must-try recipes include carnitas (best. carnitas. ever.), caesar salad – add shrimp, and cookies & cream fab four smoothie.I haven’t ready Body Love yet, but I loved this so much that I’m going to read that one now. Reverse order, but I love Kelly’s approach and tone, and can’t wait to learn more.

    Kelly delivers sound nutrition and lifestyle information in this approachable, engaging, and easy to read book.I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease 10 years ago and have been dedicated to holistic health and a wellness lifestyle ever since. Even with extensive knowledge of health, Kelly Leveque has filled in some key gaps for me with her various resources.More than any book I’ve read, this one best sums up the core essentials that are key to balancing and nourishing the body.Wherever you are coming from on your health journey, I can’t recommend this book enough. The Fab Four framework will truly leave you feeling energized, nourished, and satisfied.Kelly’s body love approach is one that encourages confidence, flexibility, and long term success. Not only is she incredibly smart, she is genuinely kind and encouraging…what a breath of fresh air in a culture saturated with crash diets and body torture.I live out Kelly’s framework every day and have truly never felt better. Get this book, equip yourself with valuable knowledge, and adopt what you can as you go at your own pace; your body and mind will thank you!

    A must read!
    This book is a must read! I read her first book, Body Love and gained a good perspective on the “why” behind the science, the rationale behind food choices, and the understanding that she’s not proposing a “diet”, but rather a lifestyle that fits each individual. Body Love also explains the importance of eating balanced, nutritious meals, provides all the scientific research AND gives you 4 different, 21 day plans to follow depending on your goals (something her first book lacked). The recipes are (for the most part), easy to follow, prepare and taste delicious. I’m on month 3 of having shifted how and what I eat, and feel great. I’ve lost inches (although weight loss is not my primary goal), but more importantly I feel better from the inside! I no longer crave junk food, am satisfied with what I eat, and don’t feel guilty with the occasional splurge. Body Love emphasizes having a good relationship with food and tailoring what she offers to what best fits your needs. This book was a game changer for me, both from knowledge gained and experienced results.

    Practical guide backed by science
    I have always been a science driven person- make me understand it scientifically and I am sold. She goes in depth without it being overwhelming (note I do have some science background). I have been putting her Fab Four into mind with most all of my meals, and smoothies at least 5 or 6 mornings a week. I love how honest she is about it not being the end of the world to go enjoy a party once in a while or at a yummy restaurant on vacation but overall trying to make routinely ‘body loving’ decisions. The three meals I am eating are keeping me full, satisfied, energized and have been easy on my stomach. Great recipes on here to use or be inspired by to use as a guide for making your own. Highly recommend this for someone looking for a guide to a lifestyle change towards more healthy nutrition.

    If you’re a visual person you might not like it
    I’ve really only skimmed and read several sections and it’s pretty good. Lots of good information and fun recipes. The only thing is I wish there were more pictures and graphs. In the middle of the book there’s a 10 page colored picture section but that’s it. The rest is all black and white nothing visual. I’m the type of person that loves colored pictures scattered throughout so this is the only reason I took off a star.

    Pense que tendria un plan base para empezar, pero viene con una serie de recomendaciones para diferentes situaciones de la vida diaria, lo cual resulta muy util, pero no encontre un plan base para los 21 dias, o al menos no fue claro, aun asi es un buen complemento para el primer libro

    I love this book and Kelly’s website. I think her overall approach is really positive and helpful. Her recipes are tasty and fairly easy although the book lacks photos of most of her recipes. However there is so much useful information in her book and on her website that I can cope without the pics. I’ve read the book from cover to cover and I now use it as a reference book for useful info and for the recipes of course.

    Absolutely loved Kelly’s last book but little disappointed with this one. I really dislike the way it is organized, it makes it really hard to scroll through and find a recipe. I also wish there were more pictures of the recipes to make it easier to see what is in the recipe before reading it

    I loved the first book so I was very excited to pre order this one. Unfortunately when it eventually arrived, it came stained with oil (maybe essential oils?) through more than half the book! Looking forward to my replacement.
