    Work With Oculus Quest 2
I wanted to make sure the cable worked before I wrote a review because I know many people are looking for a cable for their Quest 2.I’ve bought this cable in the Type A to Type C, and Type C To Type C format. Both work very well. Doing the USB Test, It ranges from 1.9 – 2.4. I did have the official Oculus Cable and KIWI Cable but return it after using this cable because it was longer and cheaper. Also the KIWI Cable would randomly disconnect. This cable does not keep the oculus quest FULLY charged when playing, not even the official cable kept it at 100%, but it DOES charge the headset extending the play time. (Ex. Went from 100 to 72 percent in 4 hours, with 120hz and 1.7 Resolution slider) But honestly after 4 hours, you should take a break from VR.If you buy the 24.6 Feet version, I HIGHLY recommend you buy cable management pulleys or you WILL get tangled up.I was going to give this cable 4 stars because every once in a while, the picture would bounce in the headset. However, I’ve found that the issue is with Windows 11 (I know you shouldn’t upgrade to a new OS until a few months in) but the solution to the bouncing picture was open up the oculus debug tool (Many guides online about how to get to it) and under the service tab click “Toggle Console Windows Visibility”. No more bouncing picture and a smooth 120hz. I do have to do this every time I use the headset wired, but not a big deal for the extra play space I’ve gathered with the longer cable. (After you are done playing with the headset reclick the “Toggle Console Windows Visibility” to disable it, if you don’t it’ll keep popping up)Overall, worth the money.

  2. Please Try a different name

    Works Well and as advertised
TL;DR it’s good, buy it if you can’t afford the first party cable.UPDATED 5/17/21: I recently made a change in my setup to have a usb 3.1 gen 2 add-in card installed dedicated to using this cord, operating under the theory that my motherboard wasn’t supplying enough power to the port to keep the headset charged. This change worked, and now the cable sufficiently charges the headset while using Oculus link! Please keep this in mind if you purchase this cable and find your headset power still depletes during play. Original review below:Like other reviews have said, it works as a link cable for the oculus quest 2. After configuring the settings properly for my pc’s performance I haven’t had any issues with the cable itself. It is very much worth noting though, as the manufacturer has answered in the questions section, this will NOT keep the quest 2 charged during play. It will slowly deplete, and I average in-between 2-3 hours of play before needing to disconnect and charge. If your ultimate goal is longer play sessions, you might be better off looking elsewhere. On the cable itself, I found its form factor to be quite pleasing. its thickness is around that of a braided keyboard cable, and is around as flexible as a displayport cable (give or take). Even with my glasses, I can loosely tuck it behind my ear and let it fall behind me when in use. I would recommend you find a better way of keeping it still though, as if it moves too much I have had the connection ‘stutter.’ not a frequent issue though, so don’t be too concerned.overall this is a very good pick if you need a link cable but don’t have the cash to doll out for the first party cable. just keep its limitations in mind.

    Useful for Oculus
I bought this to use on a desktop VR set. The data transfer rate is sufficient for seamless gaming. It keeps my quest 2 charged as long as I’d ever want to play it. Went once for 32 hours straight. The angle and a zip tie are perfect to prevent strain on the charging port. Fits USB-C.

Works well, and a decent price
It has worked really well for the quest 2 so far. Its long enough that you can move around easily, and the 90 degree adapter is perfect for the quest. Just used a cable tie as a train releif on one of the arms. Would prefer a braided cable sleeve to make it move easier, but for the price you cant beat it.

Using as a camera tether cable
I bought this to use as a tether cable for my digital cameras, so I cannot speak to its functionality with the Oculus as its advertised for, but rest assured this makes a great tether cable. I love Cable Matters products, and this cable definitely lives up to their reputation for quality and good fit and finish compared to some of the more generic options I’ve tested as well. This cable is a steal at $25 and major bargain compared to Tether Tools cables (which despite their slick marketing are cheap, poorly built cables that fail easily). This cable works as expected with my Canon EOS R5, even when added to a 32ft StarTech active extension cable (for a total of 47′ – impressive!). It should work just fine with other USB-C equipped cameras like the Sony A7R mkIII and IV, too. However, I also tried this cable with my Fuji GFX 100 medium format camera, which can be a bit finicky when it comes to tethering, and unfortunately I could not get this cable to work with that camera. Nonetheless, this is a great tether cable and should work well for tethering with all other USB-C equipped cameras. The connector is a great, low profile design and feels very secure in the camera. My only complain is that the booster chip does not have any way to add external power, which can be useful for troubleshooting tethering issues with cameras that have USB-C PD battery charging and sometimes require additional power.

I bought this to replace a different cable that cost 3x the price and didn’t charge my head set. This one, however works perfectly and keeps me streaming pcVR for 3 hours on an old quest 2 and the battery only drains to 80%Highly recommend.

Finally, a cable that fits my Quest2 VR setup! This 7.5m cable is more than enough to get along my desk to my playspace; for charging my HMD AND for transmitting at a SUFFICIENT data rate for me to enjoy VR immersively. OUT OF THE BOX! I really looked for something like this a long time.THANKS!!!! What a blessing.

This cable is intended as an active link cable for a Meta Quest 2.The Meta Quest 2 requires a USB 3.0 connection in order to link correctly. My PC has a total of 8 USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB 3.1 this cable will not work in any of them, the PC simply does not see the HMD.I am very dissatisfied with this product. If I plug it into any one of the 4 USB 2.0 ports on my PC then the HMD is seen and steam VR will use it but the performance is terrible as it does not have the correct throughput.

Bought this to replace a cheaper 5 meter cable that I use for my Quest 2. Said cable lasted about 5 months until it started to disconnect randomly and, eventually 3 months after that, disconnected every second minute. The sturdiness of the cable and the stiff angle it is at for the input of the Quest makes this a no-brainer. You don’t even need to use velcro straps whatsoever, which is the case with a lot of these kinds of cables. I’d reocommend looking into getting some ceiling cable management to get the most out of this cable. Perfect so far, and I’m extremely happy with the purchase!
