Love It!
Because this grill is so easy to use, I use it regularly. The floating hinge is a game changer; it makes it possible to toast even the thickest bread evenly. Iâm so glad that it has a selectable temperature, rather than one pre-set temperature, like so many other grills. The removable plates make cleanup quick and easy. I really like that they are ridged on one side and flat on the other, to allow for a variety of cooking applications. The grease tray is in a great location. This grill (technically, panini maker) costs more than some of the others, but all of the features combined make it totally worth the price. So far, Iâve only used mine to make sandwiches and quesadillas; all of them have come out perfect!!! The grill is large enough to make two adult-sized subs at one time. Two quesadillas made using medium-sized tortillas will fit in one cooking, as well. (For sandwiches and quesadillas I cook at 325, to allow the contents to get hot without the bread burning.) I plan to use it to cook meats and veggies in the future.

Not great for the price
Iâm a big lover of paninis and had a gift card so I decided to take the plunge and buy this. The $50 price tag was a little steep but if it was a great product I figured it would be worth it. Part of the draw with this model was the fact that it could open 180° to become a grill of sorts. The first sandwich we made was ice cold on the inside and black on the outside. And it had cooked for maybe 3 minutes total. We decided that weâd put too much meat in the sandwich and tried again with a thinner sandwich. Same result. Chargrilled black and burnt on the outside and cold inside. I also tried oil vs. butter, and it was the same result. The only success I had with both the insides melting and the outsides not burnt was with ONE single piece of cheese. The grill part of it is a total joke as well. It does get hot but not enough to cook anything to temperature. The photos advertise 2â thick burgers and chicken breasts being cooked on grill. You would get food poisoning! Again, it was black on the outside and raw on the inside. We had to take the chicken off the grill and cook it in a pan.I will give it props for being super easy to clean. Literally just a damp paper towel would get off even the crustiest cheese bits. The inability to control the temperature is what ruined it for me.

A Must-Have for Busy Moms! Delicious Paninis Made Easy
I can’t say enough good things about the Chefman Panini Press Grill and Gourmet Sandwich Maker. It’s truly my favorite kitchen appliance! My kids beg for paninis every night now.Quick and Easy Meal Tips for Working Moms:Here’s a tip for busy moms like me: I often pick up a roasted chicken and pull it apart. Then I grab some artisan or sourdough bread (sometimes I make my own ahead of time). Brushing a little olive oil on the outsides of the bread gives a nice crispy texture, but it’s not necessary. We love adding pesto, mozzarella cheese, and tomatoes (or sundried tomatoes). When we have them, artichoke hearts add a delightful twist. Another favorite is thick-cut black forest ham with sharp white cheddar cheeseâalways a hit!The Chefman Panini Press Grill makes everything so easy. It’s quick to heat up, easy to use, and the cleanup is a breeze. If you’re looking for a simple way to make gourmet-style sandwiches at home, I highly recommend this panini press. It’s perfect for busy families who want delicious meals without the hassle.

Not that big/Needs to be improved.
Chefman Panini Press Grill is just ok. There is a lot of room for improvement in this unit. The description of 4 servings size is sort of misleading. This unit is really designed for two people max or one panini sandwich at a time. The unit needs a way to control the heat as the only temp is super high. You must really keep an eye on any food placed in the unit. Because the food will burn if left unattended. The retractable legs become annoying having to remember if they need to be placed down or put up. Over all it is ok but there are just to much room for improvement.

It’s simply perfect. Maybe 5 minutes and you have grill marks how you like it.
