Stitches not always available
I carry these in my emergency go-stuff that stays in my PU. You never know. I know how to stitch most lacerations given proper equipment and conditions. But when having to compete with an emergency situation; having something that will solve a bleeding laceration quickly, especially for children; is very important.

Great option if you have no suture kit
Easy to use and effective. I have used these several times in the past, my wife is kitchen knife challenged. They work well and can be the difference in stopping bleeding and bleeding out. Just make sure you get good adhesion on either side of the wound and the closures do the rest. I carry a few of these in my trauma kit and at home. Recommended

Lasting non irritating adhesive
I am sensitive to most adhesives but this was great. I took it off after 8.5 days. My wound looked like a thin line but in the 2 weeks since it has spread to 1/4â. I tend to be a poor healer with connective tissue issues it seems. Also used in my dad after he went to cath lab as one wound would not stay closed for him likely due to his diabetes. He kept it on 12 days and it healed well. Would buy more for sure as it avoids a costly trip to ER for stitches if you know how to keep the wound clean and covered. I did find the edges wanted to stick to my pants a bit so I covered the device with a piece of tissue and then a large bandaid being careful not to get any bandaid adhesive on the device. This worked great.

I got gash on my lower leg while I was out in the desert and applied a few of these closures and they worked great.

Yet to use
I have not used this product yet. In the past I have used small bandages cut and trimmed to function as these closures. Nice to have the real thing for when they are needed. Will be deployable much quicker than the homemade alternative.
