Heavy Duty Camp Cooker
Great quality and price! I love that this cooker comes pre seasoned and the double cooker means faster cooking! If you frequently camp or like to make pudgy pies, get this! You won’t regret it!

Fun around the Campfire
These are very well made; however, they are also heavy!!! Didn’t think about buying a double one would make it that much heavier. Definitely need to rest it on the side of our Solo (or set on top of the Solo cover). They worked well after seasoning. So far we just did fruit pies. Lots of fun and plan to use them more this summer.

Serves its purpose, has design flaws
Used this for the first time earlier this evening in the fire pit. Made some nice toasties with corned beef, cheese, and thousand island. Buttered the bread on the outside. Also used it to warm up the graham cracker and chocolate for s’mores as it turns out that the innermost square fits half of a graham cracker perfectly! Yes, season it yourself before use. AND after! It’s just like any other piece of cooking iron. After we were done eating, we stuck the plates back over the fire for a few minutes to char off the food bits. Then cleaned and oiled each one and stuck them back on the fire for another little while. Nice and shiny once again, ready for the next use.Having now used this thing, I’d say that the better option might have been the single instead of the double. It would like be easier to manage one sandwich or pie at a time. The double is too heavy for the handles, I think. Some other reviewers are reporting a broken hinge, and I can see this happening because it simply seems too thin for its intended purpose. It really needs a redesign. While in use, the handles are strapped together tightly which creates pressure at the hinge point. I would suggest only leaving it under pressure while cooking. When not in use, the handles should be unscrewed from the iron plates and stored separately.Personally looking forward to figuring out what kinds of things I can make with this. May buy the single sammy/pie model at a later time.

10/10
We used this while camping to make pizza sandwiches! Worked GREAT! The sandwiches came out so crisp, cheese melted wonderfully! Next time we plan to do some sweet snacks lol! A must for any extended camping trip

Easy and fun to use
It’s cast iron so it has some weight to it.

Not a sandwich maker!
Not seasoned and I assumed that the inside bottom would at least be as large as a piece of bread. The picture shows it as an almost perfect fit. What I didnât âseeâ was that the top edge is as big as the slice of bread and then gets smaller. So there is no level even cooking of a sandwich. I donât understand the thinking behind this design. Itâs definitely not good for any sandwich type cooking. Now if you want to use it for something small…canât even think of anything. In the pictures, you can see my attempt at Toad-in-the-hole. Cooking the bacon pieces worked fine. The bacon grease amply âoiledâ the iron, but the sandwich stuck horribly. It took a lot of effort to get what you see in the pictures. I bought this the end of October 2020 and used it once. I donât ever want to go through the pains it took to clean this thing. Iâll probably give it to my sister, a cast iron queen, and let her husband play with it, lol. He does the period cooking over campfires and in the ground at black powder rendezvous. On a positive note, I love that the handles detach…that does make it easier to clean. They got my money…Iâm not good at returning things, unless defective. I used it and didnât feel right returning. Iâll pass it on and buy one that is flat on top and bottom.

Thin
I love that these are cast iron, however they are not very thick. You can’t fit much filling into what your making, and the food burns quickly because of how thin the metal is.

I thought the handles would have gotten hot while in useHowever they stayed very coolAlso I tried it with a burger and bun flipped up and melted everything togetherIt has ample roomWorks as statedTurned a normal hamburger into gourmet hamburger same as a normal grill cheeseHighly recommend
