Really a fantastic jacket for the price. Itâs important to note that the material, though soft, warm, comfortable, and just nice to touch is synthetic, and as with pretty much all half/full synthetic Sherpa-type materials, any kind of moisture on your skin makes the fuzz clump if you stroke it against the grain. Basically, you just shouldnât wear it if youâre in the kind of weather where youâre taking it off and putting it on every few minutes, because that is just too warm for this jacket. The sleeves are a bit long, but not so much that those with fairly regular length-width proportions will notice too much, but enough that taller wearers arenât plagued by cold wrists like with everything else. The cut is also a bit wider at the midriff, so those wider between the chest and belt will feel just as comfortable in this jacket as slimmer people will in a slimmer cut, but itâs not so wide that slimmer people cant wear it. Iâm somewhere in between, and I enjoy having a bit of room to move the jacket around without it being excessively baggy. Itâs very warm, and the ivy/chart color is nice, but more that the jacket is a tad lighter than the photo, most likely a lighting or iso issue in photoshoot.If you need something thatâs really warm and/or tighter fitting so it functions as an actually good under layer for a slimmer person, check out one of Columbiaâs other under layers, which are also pretty decent quality and very well priced. If youâre going for just a fleece or a fleece to wear under just a thin down jacket, youâre in the right place.5/5 would buy again but I wonât have to because Columbiaâs products last decades and winters on earth will be in the 30s °C by then

Bought 2 for my guy in large. They are soft and fit him well. Fabric is beautiful and jacket is well made. The red is muted not bright and he loves both the red and grey.

A Staple in my Wardrobe
I buy one of these every year during fall. I wear it almost every day around the house when it is cold. This fleece is soft, comfortable, and fits well. I am 6ft tall and weigh about 190lbs and the large is perfect for me. I like that Columbia has so many choices of color and style. I am on my 4th one since 2006, and each one has been great. I wear them for a year or two and then donate them and get a new one. They don’t wear out. I just want a newer fresher look. This type of fleece will keep you warm when it’s in the 50’s outside, as long as it’s not too windy. It does not stop wind. It will not really keep you warm if it is in the 30’s or 40’s for an extended amount of time. This is OK for me since I live in Atlanta. Great buy for a fairly low price that I highly recommend!

No idea how it will hold up but it appears to be very well made.I have no idea how this jacket will compare to the Columbia jacket that looks just like and is priced exactly the same. There are only size 5X jackets left from this review I am doing.My son is 5′ 10″ and the jacket is as long as his polo shirts which he does not tuck into his pants.Lucky for me I read the reviews and ordered two jackets, sizes 5X and 6X. My son actually fits in some 4X knit polo type shirts I purchased for him at Belk.com. The 6X is big enough to fit a sweatshirt under it.This jacket will be washed on gentle and will not be put in a clothes dryer on the chance it MIGHT shrink. BUT, THAT’S HOW WE WASH SOME CLOTHING. We have our clothes forever. Watch our money.It’s extremely easy to return, I THINK. UPS is supposed to pick it up today. One of us is usually always home. I was given one of these Columbia Fleece Jackets several years ago at a convention/company retreat. I fell in love with Fleece when I got that first jacket and even though I live in Florida and only can use such a garment for a short time each year while at home, that fleece was one of my very favorites to wear.My daughter apparently felt the same… and appropriated my favorite fleece at some point. Kids being kids, my favorite old man snuggle jacket somehow disappeared and the daughter has claimed she knows not a thing about it. Dad’s being Dad’s, I seemed to be content with needling her about it every year when the weather gets a little nippy.Well, this purchase has ended that point of contention and now I can pull out the familiar old (now new) fleece Columbia Jacket whenever it gets below 60 degrees here in Florida and my daughter can live without being reminded about how she misplaced her old mans favorite garment.- Fits like a dream, feels so good, warm and fluffy and comfy…. (Yes, men do think this way).This would be a perfect gift for ANY DAD – believe me, once he has one, he will miss it when it goes off into daughterland somewhere…
