Excellent Transitional Season Vest
Iâve usually bought puffer style vests for my teen, but they can be a little too warm. Been looking around for something more like a golf vest that doesnât look too grandpa. Found it! This COOFANDY Menâs Softshell Vest is perfect.First Impressions: The feel of the fabric and quality of the zippers are great. Love the pull tabs on the zipper pulls. The stitching and seams are all professional. Good quality. I ordered the Navy Blue color. Itâs a true navy, not too black. Looks exactly like the product listing photos.Fit & Comfort: The COOFANDY size chart threw me off. Maybe typos on the chest measurement column? My sonâs measurements: Chest 35.5â; Waist 35â; Shoulder Width 17â. I bought him a size Small and it fits close to the body, with enough room for a T-shirt. We could have even gone up to a Medium and been able to fit a sweater underneath.Final Thoughts: I am super happy with this vest. Itâs priced very well, comparable to other vests I considered. What gives COOFANDY the edge is that it looks a bit more modern. Happy to rate it 5/5.

Perfect for Layering, Less So for Style
I recently tested the COOFANDY Men’s Softshell Vest, and while it performs well in terms of practicality, Iâm not thrilled with the style. The vest is great for moderately cool days, especially when layered under a heavier jacket. Itâs lightweight and thin, making it perfect for spring or autumn here in SoCal, but not warm enough on its own for very cold weather, if and when we get that. The quilted design and water-repellent material presumably offer decent protection against light rain and wind, which I would think makes it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking or maybe jogging. The zipper glides smoothly, and I appreciate that the pull is on the right-hand side, which surprisingly hasn’t been the case in the last few outerwear pieces I’ve tested lately. I like the zippered outer pockets, I don’t like the lack of any inner pockets. That said, Iâm not a fan of the vestâs style. Itâs plain and functional, but it doesnât stand out as a fashion piece. Iâd definitely use it for its practicality, but I wouldnât wear it to make a statement. Itâs better suited for layering under a heavier coat for added warmth, or as a simple, utilitarian piece during casual outings. If youâre looking for something thatâs stylish and eye-catching, this isnât itâbut for practical, everyday use, it gets the job done.

Well Insulating and Quality Feel
This is a nice softshell vest that functions a bit like a jacket in that it has an outer shell and inner lining to stay warm. It also fits a bit looser than a standard vest you might just wear over a button-up, although it can be used for that as well. The color is true to the images and the sizing is also about right, if not a bit stiff. I like that the pockets have zippers and there’s a drawstring along the bottom if you want to cinch it up. It has a slightly odd lack of inner pockets, but I don’t tend to use them anyway, so it’s no biggie. Cleaning is easy enough, and the workmanship is on par with other Coofandy brand garments (nothing too fancy, but well-made).I’m looking forward to sporting this vest during the winter as another layer to keep my core warm. It’s a good price point for the quality, so I’d recommend it!

Nicely constructed vest
This item runs a tad small, wish I ordered the next size up

Great Vest
This is a great vest, the inside is quilted, and I like the pockets. It’s well made, it is comfortable to wear. On the bottom of the vest there are draw strings tabs so you can get a more tailored look around the waist.

Versatile Fall/spring addition to the wardrobe
I love a good vest and this is a great example of why.Simple.Clean.Straighforward.This is an understated but highly functional vest that has just enough insulation to be really useful as a layer for fall mornings. I wear mine when doing some Zone 2 walking in temps as low as mid-30’s and it adds just enough protection to keep my core warm and comfortable.Love that this has the drawstring built into the waist so you can cinch the bottom or release it and let it hang straight. Zippers on the pockets are always a nice touch as well, to be sure that you don’t lose a phone, keys etc…You will likely need to iron it when it first arrives, as the vacuum sealing creases the fabric, but after the initial use, I have not found it to be overly susceptible to wrinkling, so it’s also a nice option for travel as it can work in many instances, and doesn’t take up a lot of space.

Comfortable
This is a good looking vest, nicely made. The zippered pockets are well-placed for safely carrying small items. The attractive wine red color is accurately reproduced on the product page. I used the provided measurements to decide on what size to get and found the measurements to be accurate. While this vest is waterproof, in very rainy weather, you’d want rain gear that kept your arms dry. This vest would fit under most rainwear to give you the warmth that rain gear doesn’t usually provide.

Soft, warm extra layer…
This softshell vest is a nice additional layer that I’ve been missing. In cooler weather it is all I need over my shirt. In cold weather it is that extra layer that keeps me warm under my winter coat. It arrived pre-wrinkled (ha!) in a vacuum pouch. It is a bit square in its cut but thankfully there is a drawstring at the waist which helps seal in warmth and keeps it snug.I like that the two pockets are zippered. I didn’t realize it when I ordered it that there is no inside pocket for glasses, a handkerchief, a pen, etc. I typically wear an XL and this vest seems a bit larger than a typical XL.
