My Salad Buddy
I had a “Salad Spinner” several years ago and it was a piece of junk. This little guy, on the other hand, is just GREAT. The medium size is just right to work with and does a great job with lettuce or whatever you have. I bought it because I have other Cuisinart products that are quality items. Solid construction and not flimsy material.. Easy to use and quick clean up.. Very happy with this product!!

Perfect size and function
I bought this salad spinner for its size. Itâs smaller than a regular sized spinner and perfect for my needs. Iâm usually making salad for one so I donât need a larger spinner. Also, I live in a condo with somewhat limited storage space and this spinner doesnât take up much room in the cabinet. As far as function, apparently salad spinners have come a long way since those of a couple of decades ago. With this spinner, I can both wash and dry the leaves in one function without opening the lid. When I spin the lettuce after washing, this spinner really does an excellent job of âdryingâ the leaves. Also, this Cuisinart spinner is easy to clean and seems to dry quickly when hand washed. I feel like I made the best choice possible and Iâm very pleased with this purchase.

Get the 3 qt not the 5 qt spinner!
Update: I bought the 5 qt after a positive experience with the 3 qt version (as described below), but had to return it as the 5 qt had a different and very noisy, rattling spin mechanism, with a brake that doesn’t even work. It was impossible to use. Stick to the 3 qt and look elsewhere if you need a bigger version! The 3 qt spinner holds a bunch of herbs or a couple of large leaves of romaine (torn into two to fit). It’s good for a salad-plate size of salad, but we should all be eating more greens, so for a dinner-plate size salad, I got the 5 qt spinner as well. Compared to my other salad spinners, this one is made of stiff, hard acrylic plastic (the clear bowl says it’s a Number 6 plastic). If you drop it, it will crack, so be careful. The best thing about the spinning mechanism is the oversized green knob which is easy to hold as you turn it. The spinning action, compared to my other salad spinner, is very smooth and vigorous and dries the greens fast. The annoying thing about this model is the catch/lock thing. You can see it in the picture. On the white lid, there is a green tab that you have to fasten before you close the lid. It’s fiddly. On the opposite end, there is a white bracket (hard to see in picture). So fastening the lid is a 2 step procedure – first you position the white bracket so it catches the rim of the clear bowl. Then you position the green tab and lock it down. Sometimes when you do this, the knob wouldn’t turn, which means there was a misalignment, so you have to undo everything and refit the lid again. My other salad spinners don’t have this issue. Other than this flaw, this is a good salad spinner, dishwasher safe and relatively sturdy.

Good value for money
This was one of the cheapest salad spinner options I could find but it works perfectly well! Easy to handle, take apart and wash. Itâs a little bulky for storage but I think all salad spinners are a bit like that.

No more watered down dressing at the bottom of your salad bowl!
No more water at the bottom of your salad!Pros: Holds a romaine heart chopped up very nicely. Lightweight, super easy to use and clean.Cons: Careful not to drop the bowl repeatedly or you may crack it. Wobbles when after crank it up to spin and let go, so you need to hold it down.

Great for doing wedge or small portions
I have used this now for over 2 months and I am really happy with it. Things that I want others to know. If you have hand issues this is the spinner for you! All you need to do is get it spinning. To start it, turn the knob and you will get momentum. Then it will spin by holding the base as it spins. The lettuce comes out beautifully dry. I use the inner basket as a colander of sorts. Then after rinsing it, I put into the spinner and let it do its job. I am very discerning when it comes to my salad; and I pat dry before putting into a bowl with a paper towel. It used to be I would use maybe 6-7 sheets of the select a size paper towels, but now, I use a half a sheet. Older people will find this an easy to use gadget and definitely worth the buy!!! I find it great for wedge salads as well, because you can control the speed of the spin. I hope others will enjoy it as much as I do!

Cabe más o menos media lechuga, pero funciona bien. Aunque se sale el agua por los lados, no solo por el agujero donde debe salir. Pero no es tan malo

Compact, well made, perfect for 1or 2 people. Very convenient that you can pour out the water through the top grate without having to undo the lid. Sturdy enough for the task and sits firmly on the countertop thanks to the rubber feet. Will buy a second one for the cottage.

This is a good salad spinner – gets all the water off.It is small – there are 2 of us, so that’s perfect – if you had to make a big salad for 4+ – you’d need a bigger one or 2 loads. It is quick and the mechanical operation is very smooth – so that’s still OK for the odd occasion. Worth buying!

this is my 2nd 3 litre spinner, first one still works but dropped on floor and has a small hole in it, sad to say the 3 litre is more money than the 5 litre, both are good functional products.
