Perfect for runners
I write this review from the perspective of a runner. This simulates the experience of running along the road or wide trail very well. The speed feels right although it is probably faster than I really run. I’ve owned a bike video that was just crazy fast. The video is very stable and always looks straight ahead. Even though I look to the sides while running, I find that videos that pan back and forth or turn too quickly cause me to feel unbalanced and at risk of veering and stepping off the moving treadmill belt. Thus, a video that always looks straight ahead with gentle turns is exactly what I need to run safely. The nature sounds are good but a few of the six journeys have soundtracks that seem to repeat every few seconds (like a repeating bird call that never goes away). I just turn off the sound and listen to some music. I like that you can choose to repeat the same journey without bothering with the controller or have it go through the journeys in sequence. I also like the appearance of the occasional car, van or even some roadside cattle! My favorites are the journeys that take place on wide trails. Although a couple of the journeys end at beautiful overlooks or water bodies, I would like it better if they all did. The best thing I can say is that I find myself forgetting that this a video — I just get in that “runner zone” and keep going.

Take A Peaceful, Scenic Journey Right in Your Home with your TV!
Avid road runner, these tapes allow me to run inside on otherwise problematic days, such as when it snows. I live in Oregon and winter rain soaks the shoes & feet every single day. Running inside with these vids, I am able to run without interference from cars, animals, police–yes I have been stopped more than once for jogging in the early morning hours–and out of control criminals.Running inside on he treadmill, I can set up temperature & wind conditions the way I like them with a fan…I can break and take a trip to the toidy, at my own convenience..The scenery passes at a steady rate, and interesting sites along the way; Keeps my interest without demanding any change in pace, etc.Not just for exercising either!: I put it on the TV in the morning to wake up to. Great for the psyche; Very calming influence.NOTE!: These are the PERFECT Christmas gift, for folks who are stuck in bed for a while sick or injured. It’s like a sunny day, out for a pleasant ride the whole way…complete with natural sounds of the great outdoors. NICE.Tony Helshoots tapes are great, and a godsend. I will buy more.Thanks so much, and all stars for these great vids.

Good quality video – too slow and transitions are annoying
It’s TOO Slow! I have to play it at 2x speed for it to match my pace and not slow me down. Also I do not like the video transitions. The videographer was filming along a path and had to stop for whatever reason, then used a page flip up transition to continue with the video shoot which was still the same path – just probably a little further down. I would have been happier without any transition at all. They are distracting and annoying. The Quality is Good! Crystal Clear and the nature shots are exactly the type of location I would be exercising in if I wasn’t currently stuck in a location with polluted air. Thankfully I have my Elliptical. When I play this in fast forward mode (2x speed) it does still at least automatically move on to the next segment (but there is a gap and it starts the next one in play mode -1x speed).

Realistic, enjoyable, a great asset to indoor exercise
This is a great product! I use it with an exercise trampoline. The scenery is inviting, at points, magnificent. The pace is steady and appropriate so that there is a sense of making realistic progress. I believe this would be true were I on an exercise bike or any other stationary equipment. The nature sounds rather than music make it all the more enjoyable. There is an occasional “meeting” of oncoming traffic on the roadway tracks but it is so rare as to make the experience feel even more realistic. The steady ahead perspective (rather than turning to view scenes as some DVDs do) makes it easier to stay focused. The only negative is some of the edits are a quick “flipping” of the page (it very quickly scrolls from bottom R corner to top L). Everything else about this DVD more than makes up for this tiny distraction! I will consistently use this DVD for a long time to come.

Great for treadmill running!
I rated this DVD high for two reasons.First, the quality and content is excellent. I really enjoy the mountain trails the best and there is an off-road trail on this DVD. The DVD menu, play one, or all of the trails is a plus, giving the user choices and variety. This is useful for matching up length as well as challenge with visual sensory information, and in general lets me have my favorite virtual path whenever I feel like it.Second, the pace is quicker than my actual run pace, which actually gives me the sense of moving. I find this better than my equipmentâs IFIT technology because it is a constant visual, whereas the street view on satellite runs change and reload at an unnatural pace.I have not been a consistent indoor runner because of boredom- but I am doing 8 milers at this time with the help of this virtual DVD.

I really like the pace of this
I purchased “Cycle Through Nature”…..I really like the pace of this, perfect for jogging on my trampoline. I also appreciate that the camera stays head on, no worries about nausea or dizziness.These are peaceful, scenic rides..mix and match depending on how long you would like to work out..I suggest adding a fan to your workout so you can replicate the breeze in your face as well!”Tropical Forest and Limestone Scenery” is a gorgeous trek through the jungle..without the creepy crawlies that would otherwise accompany you on your journey. Palm fronds the size of tables….beautiful! Enjoy the singing of crickets at the end of the day… This is another set with 6 tracks, so if you wish, you can customize your workout time a bit.

Arrived quickly. This video takes the boredom out of indoor cycling and treadmill walking.It distracts you from constantly watching the time and distance and you end up going further without realising it.

I am not sure what I expected, but it’s pretty cool. It can be nice to have something on while you’re exercising but I find that since I go out to walk in the woods a lot, I’d rather have something on the tv that I can read while working out and listen to iTunes. So, well, it’s okay, but for me, I probably would not order anything similar again. Well shot though, so nothing bad about the quality.

not bad but it says costal route but you never get to the sea lol, and after about 5 mins its like a page turn so it doesn’t run straight.

Bought this and the Italian Dolimites DVD for my husband who says that it is great for a gentle cycle or for use on a treadmill but is not taxing enough for a serious workout as the filming is set at a gentle cycling pace. He prefers the other DVD as he says the filming moves faster, therefore you tend to cycle faster. He was very pleased with both DVDs..

The scenery is stunning and the journeys are quite long, which is especially good for a longer workout. The variety of locations and different speeds the scenery passes makes the experience interesting. Recommend.
