THIS is a rare gem!!!
Geared for teens, it is also great for adults. Unlike others, this book contains NO multiple gender, climate change (going vegan for the climate is a huge current topic for kids “health” books. They do not discuss health benefits but rather, focus on environmental reasons), sex, medication/vax or Equity talk at all. Books on those topics are a dime a dozen and parents will have no problems finding them if that’s what they want. In fact, I found that those topics are hidden in many “health and nutrition” books geared for kids, without mention within the descriptions. This book is simply focused on nutritional education for a healthy body and happy human.I spent literal hours online and in book stores searching for a pre-teen friendly book that focused on how the things we eat can impact how we feel and how our bodies function in a positive light without any unnecessary and controversial fluff. I was disgusted and frustrated at how many of them had to throw a nod to current cultural trends that were unrelated and unnecessary in a book on nutrition. This book:1- is not about weight loss or a fad weight loss diet. It focuses on health and acknowledges that a healthy weight is not the same as a “culturally accepted cosmetic weight”.2- does not discuss pharmaceuticals and instead provides specific foods that contribute to helping with specific health issues like building a strong immune system, the importance of gut health, healthy skin and other organ health, as well as healthy blood sugars to combat things like diabetes.3- has a section on common hormone imbalance issues specifically for boys and girls and how they impact happiness, health and well-being. It provides specific foods and suggestions that can help balance those hormones naturally. It simply focuses on biology.4- it has a section on self-care and learning to love who you are. It addresses how our diets, sleep habits etc can impact our emotions and our emotions impact our mental and physical health.5- it has a section on anxiety and mental well-being and how food, sleep and exercise can help.6- it has a section on the importance of good sleep and how to obtain it.7- It discusses how to form a healthy relationship with food and learn to avoid stress eating.8- it does have a small section for vegans, focusing on how to get some of the nutrients that are low in that kind of diet if that is what you prefer, but it is not a vegan book.9- and it has a section of simple and healthy recipes.I bought 4 copies and am recommending it to everyone I know.

Iâm a student at Imperial College London and am regularly surrounded by lots of very academic students who often thoroughly care about their nutrition. I wanted to learn more about the topic so I could join the conversation and this book has really taught me so much about food and how beneficial good nutrition can be.Nutrition really has the ability to positively affect most aspects of your wellbeing and life, so being knowledgeable in the subject, especially as a teenager, can really help you thrive as a person. The book is heavily backed by very complicated science which Tina has cleverly broken down to make it very easy to read and digest so much information.I canât recommend this book enough, itâs a must read for children, teenagers and even adults. Itâs just so important to be aware and knowledgable about this stuff, especially in the modern day where itâs so easy to have a bad diet!

This is a fantastic book for adults and teenagers alike and helps to make sense of all the important food/diet information everyone should know. Itâs written in a clear common sense approach that doesnât lecture or judge but gives you the information you need to enable sensible food/eating decisions. Includes some great recipes and menu ideas to follow whether still at home with parents or having left home. It covers all the topics I wish I would have known when I was teenager. I would definitely recommend for all teenagers to help them understand how to get the best out of their bodies.
A customer –
This is the second book I have purchased by Tina Lond-Caulk. It is a great resource for cutting through the 1,000 different health messages we see each day on social media – and most importantly has been written by someone who is trained in nutrition. My daughters (14 and 16) have dipped in and out of it and we have all really enjoyed the recipes in the book.

Eat Well Feel Greatâ¦this is a brilliant book, fantastically written to appeal to teenagers but a brilliant read for adults too. As a parent itâs a great guide to help us get the correct, quick information. Tina has written it in a way that it is easy to explain the importance of eating well and the outcome of feeling great is a winner!

I saw the author give a talk on Teen Tips and it was really informative, so when I saw she had brought out a book I was v interested – I bought this book for my 13 year old daughter who is interested in science and nutrition. We are reading it together and using it as a discussion point for what to eat/ recipes etc. Really great book, a great read for teenager, I am so pleased I bought it – thank you!
