Perfect for sourdough
Iâm thrilled with this electric food scale! Itâs incredibly accurate, easy to use, and makes baking and meal prep so much easier. Easy to use scale, lower than normal precision
The one advantage of this scale over many similar ones is that it allows you to place the screen somewhere away from the scale itself. The range is impressive – approximately the same as bluetooth earbuds – meaning anywhere in a room can be easily in range.The scale and the screen are powered with 2 AAA batteries each and 4 batteries are provided to start you out. AAA batteries aren’t my favorite choice these days – I’d prefer a USB-C charge port and a rechargeable battery, but primary cells have their place too.The count feature requires you to pre-count 25, 50, 75, or 100 items to initialize it, but seems to work well enough after that. It would be nice if a smaller pre-count quantity were available, but maybe they determined that 25 was the minimum to have a reasonable count.My major critique of the scale is the lack of precision. I think the sensor in the scale is capable of higher precision, but it rounds off to the point that small items may not even register on the scale.Ultimately, this is a great scale if you have the very specific needs of:1. Screen disconnected from the weighing platform2. No need to measure small increments3. Don’t mind buying AAA batteriesIf that describes you, this is a great tool. If not, you’d be better served looking at other options.

Solves display visibility problem
The were two main reasons I chose this scale (1) display is not hidden by what you put on a scale (2) heavier capacity than my current kitchen scale. It solves both problems beautifully. I wish the scale base was bigger, but it works fine together with a dish, a bowl or a tray. Scale connected wirelessly to display instantly after inserting batteries, nothing to setup. This is going to be a great addition to my kitchen.

Questionable accuracy
With this detached digital display, there’s no more fighting to see the weight of your product when weighing out your items. You can easily move the display so you can see it no matter how big your tray on the scales is.It also has magnets you attach to the back so you can mount it easily on any metal surface and even more easily read the weight of your items.When the scale is active and reading, it has a green-yellow backlight. After 10 seconds of no motion/change, the light goes out and you see just the display. It takes some getting used to. I would kind of freak out when it would go dark, thinking it had shut off. lolMy concern is the accuracy of this scales. I need an accurate reading of every single item, not an estimate.As I was using this, weighing my product, I discovered that whatever weight the very first item received, EVERY ITEM after that weighed the exact same. Considering that JUST the trays I used had varying weights, everything weighing the exact same was absolutely impossible if the scales were accurate.So I weighed one item, recorded the weight, shut the unit off, waited 5 seconds, powered it back up and weighed the next item. Doing it this way, I got the varying weights I had been expecting. However, that brought about the next question – are the varying weights the true, accurate weights?Plus, having to shut the scales off and wait causes you to take more time than necessary.If all you are looking for is a scale that will give you APPROXIMATELY the correct weight, you will love the freedom this detached display offers. If you need accuracy, skip this unit and find a different one.MADE IN CHINA.
