Great flashlights
At a great price (2 pack). Super well belt, very bright with large coverage area and long range spot light. Carrying case is a bonus. I use the 18650 battery option (another bonus) with rechargeable 9900mAh’s that I also got there on Amazon (4 pack with charger). I should never have to buy batteries for the life of these two 😁. Highly recommend. Total for everything $39, 2 flashlights, 2 cases, four 18650 rechargeable batteries and dedicated charges.

You get what you pay for
I just purchased a set (of 2) of these flashlights and my first thought is, “I’ve seen these on the market for many years now, but I finally decided to buy a couple”. These are not great but for the price, roughly $8 each, they aren’t too bad. You can’t compare them to a $200 SureFire, but for $8… why not? They are “good to have around flashlights”.
I’m going to be hypocritical for a moment here and say “I wouldn’t trust my life with these flashlights”, and the purpose of them at the moment is an upcoming 1-week road trip. Are they absolutely necessary? No, but I’ll have them just in case, and a backup. My old $200 SureFire 6P has an incandescent bulb which runs for about 20 minutes. It would cost me another $100 for an LED conversion. I will at some point replace them with GOOD flashlights.
On to the review. What can I say that 2400 other people haven’t said? I did not read all 2400 reviews so I don’t know what’s already been said, but here goes.
First of all, the LEDs used are not very consistent. Obviously, there are 2 identical flashlights. I put in 2 freshly charged 18650 batteries and turned them on, zoomed and not zoomed. They have a pretty flat flood pattern. Illumination is surprisingly even. However, when zoomed in, there is a slight brightness difference. I changed batteries and the difference is still evident. This means the manufacturing quality isn’t quite up to snuff, but still OK… for an $8 flash light. When you’re using them, I’m sure no one would really notice. In regards to manufacturing standards, someone mentioned flickering and failure after a few months. I wouldn’t expect these to last very long but if I get a year out of them, that’s OK. Usually, electronic components from China and the like (even products made in the US) are driven to the limit and sometimes past their limits to squeeze more lumens out of LEDs, which will provide more lumens (for the WOW factor) but then they burn out quickly. Just FYI. Back in the day, components were driven to about 90% of their limit so everything use to last longer, hence the term, “they don’t make ’em like they use to”.
The next thing, the ad says “water resistant”. Erm… I would agree that these are water resistant… but not water-proof for sure. The button is a silicone-ish button “cover” which slides around if you press with any pressure. I know… a $200 6P has urethane buttons that feel very positive, but that’s a different price bracket. Under the button cap is a standard o-ring you would expect to find. There are 3 other places where water could enter the flashlight:
– lens bezel, the lens appears to be press-fit (I could be wrong). This doesn’t mean water couldn’t enter here. It just means it would take more effort.
– bezel-to-head, there is no o-ring here, whatsoever. For sure water could enter here. Granted, if it was pouring rain and you happened to flip the light upwards, which would start the seeping process and get lens-fogging.
– Zoom body interface, as you slide the head, you can feel some stiction, which would indicate some sort of seal, but it’s definitely not a tight one, so water could potentially get through there.
I’ll say this about Chinese products… they are more “fancy” with their packaging these last few months. I remember when Chinese goods came in a bag, and if they were nice, you would get a little trinket as a bonus. These flash lights come in a nice box, with nylon holsters (but I still won’t be using them), short instruction pamphlet which most people won’t be reading, and those who do complain of Chinglish (stop complaining, at least it’s in there), and a seemingly 30% coupon, which seems to be a revolving hook to keep you coming back.
$8 each – they aren’t that bad. If someone ran over one of these lights and it still works, it’s pretty good for $8 each. But like I said, if your life depended on it, get something better, especially with proper seals in case you’re stuck in the rain, or in a lake.
Would I buy these again? Sure I would, for around the house or in the office. You will always need a flashlight for something, especially for old eyes like mine.
Keep in mind, the 4-stars is not because these are AWESOME. The 4-stars is because these are “PRETTY GOOD for $8 each”.

Bright flashlight, great price
I bought these to have extra flashlights in my shop. It comes with two flashlights, two nylon pouches and two sleeves to use a rechargeable battery. No batteries were included. I’m using the 3 AAA battery cartridge in my lights. The light is bright and I like being able to spread the beam or make it more narrow and bright. The light feels well build and works great.

Works Great
These flashlights are bright, lightweight and perfect for backpacking. I took mine to Central America and it held up to much outdoor use.

I’ve used these torches on a number of occasions spotting possums and other wildlife. The torches have a nice weight to them and feel like good quality. The ability to focus the light beam is fantastic and throws the light so much further than comparable torches I’ve purchased. I haven’t used the strobing effect and doubt I will.
If I had to pick a negative it’s when the light is tightly focussed the beam of light is kinda square-shaped. By no means is this a problem – the light is nice and bright – it’s just odd how it goes from a round beam to square at its limit.
