Terrific assistant
Love to stream and access information, weather, listen to music and see my security cameras displayed. Easy to use, connect, install. I like the appearance. Works well in my kitchen, if it was in my bedroom I could even use it as a sleep status check. Size is just right

el asistente eme gusta mucho
Fue una buena compra, la caja viene el mandarÃn pero el asistente una vez configurado toma el idioma de dispositivo móvil además se puede cambiar el tipo de voz en la configuraciones del celular

Language Selection Does Not Wok
The Cantonese (Hong Kong) speaking option in the language menu does not work. Apparently it’s not supported but is an option in the settings. When I tried making it the primary language, another menu popped up for me to select the Smart Display language. It showed Mandarin (China) only as an option only for the smart display. So I selected that since the traditional writing system is the same for both just a dialect difference. The device would then spit out everything in Mandarin. This is so disappointing when there’s such a huge population of Cantonese speakers worldwide. Instead the Mandarin dialect gets imposed on us everywhere and everything. The only reason I purchased this device and now I have to return it.

MUCH LESS it should be !!!
Google should be ashamed of themselves for producing such a limited product. Worse yet I believe that the limitations are all Google Software imposed limitations. A device called a HUB (either Google or Nest) should provide at a MINIMUM the same functionality that one gets from the Google Home app on their phone. This provides much less and is very limited in it’s usability. They could improve it by making one of the Built In Apps Google Home with all the same functionality. They should also have Play Store access for this device to allow installation of apps such as TuneIn Radio. Instead they choose to leave choices for radio streaming up to a random choice of their choice. Defaults seem to be YouTube music, Global Player followed by TuneIn sometimes. Behavior is highly erratic. Grouping of speakers functionality is also highly erratic and very difficult to manage and set up. Audio streaming of YouTube seems to be blocked thus disallowing streaming of Audio from a Chromecast Google TV device to other in-home speakers. International functionality seems to be very inconsistent with vastly different behavior in different countries. Amazon Alexa is far ahead of Google with respect of international functionality. While TuneIn can be forced when added to the audio command stream rigorously following the “Dialect” imposed by Google for each country / Language, without direct access to TuneIn there is no way to use your subscribed TuneIn application. This could be easily overcome by allowing installation of apps like TuneIn directly. We deserve much more than this product has been limited to provide. Recommend DO NOT BUY. Your phone or a tablet has better functionality and probably costs less mostly because you can install Google Home and other Apps (like TuneIn) directly. Google should be able to fix this with a software update that provides – 1) Google Home as a built in APP 2) Playstore access to install other apps, 3) the ability to customize the GUI and home screens like on a phone or tablet.

Love this thing. Bought my parents one too
I love shouting at her across the room to set an alarm or ask a far out question Iâd only feel comfortable asking in a room alone ð

Nice photo display
I already have a 1st gen hub, and I find that this one is literaly no different (I don’t have sleep sensing and gesturing due to my region). Definitely a positive difference in the audio.Planning on getting 2 more, but the cost/functionality ratio has the st gen unit earning favour.

Basic smart hub
If you were looking for a more advanced clock with Google integrate it then this could be for you. Donât get me wrong. It has a lot of great features, but I definitely feel like itâs lacking. I actually ended up returning mine.
