Great not only for TV Backlighting, but shelf lighting too!
Right off the bat, these light bars are vibrant, colorful, and have a great variety of different colors and patterns. However, I used them for a little bit of a different purpose than what they were created for…I had previously purchased the TV backlight strips from Govee, and wanted to find lighting for my shelves within the Govee ecosystem. Traditional light strips wouldn’t really work unless I spliced them, which I wanted to avoid. Enter these light bars. I bought 2 sets of them, and thanks to the (quite strong) mounting options, was able to mount and angle these lights downwards to create a really cool effect over my displays.I wasn’t sure how well it was going to work, but the end results speak for themselves. It looks terrific when used in this role. The cables are very long and manageable too, I was able to run them down the support beams of the shelves with some mounting clips without issue.The only negative comes down to the app itself. It’s a bit overwhelming and confusing to use at first, but once you get the basic functions figured out, there’s little issue. Still, I feel the user experience could be improved on the app. For example, I had to go in and create my own shortcut function to turn on all my lights at once, then make a separate one to turn them all off at once, as opposed to there being a single master on/off button in the app. It’s small things that can make the app tedious to work with.Regardless, I feel that overall Govee continuous to knock it out of the park. The lights are bright, customizable, and add a ton of ambience to the room. I hope Govee continues to expand on their different room lighting options and keep the level of quality they are putting out now.

Wonderful lights hampered by confusing app
I want to give these 5 stars as they a great set up for my TV, especially combined with the TV Backlight 3, but the app…. oh that god awful app… They definitely went the route of giving customers what seems to be unlimited control and customization with their lights but the execution of this through the Govee app is dizzying, complicated, confusing and overwhelming to the point that I barely bother. When I do eventually figure out what I am looking for, I forget how I found that setting and find myself desperately trying to figure out what I did every time I log into the app. Govee makes wonderful, high quality products that work pretty well if they could just deliver an app that makes using their lights easy and fun. Maybe leave the complicated custom stuff as an optional setting those who dare can dive into. The rest of us, MAKE IT SIMPLE.

PERFECT TV MOOD/AMBIENCE LIGHTING
This pair of tv backlighting from Govee is an excellent mood and ambience complement to create an exceptional tv viewing experience. I got it for $38.99 during Black Friday. I have a 55â LG OLED TV and Iâm glad that I purchased the 15â version rather than the shorter version because I believe that the shorter version wouldnât be able to create the effect that I wanted to achieve. I enclosed a photo for everyone to see and to assist other people in deciding if these RGBIC LED backlights are what theyâre looking for.Itâs easy to install and the app works great with my iPhone 14 Pro Max. The timer function is very intuitive and very efficient to a dot. Please donât forget to enable the Bluetooth function in your smart mobile device when making adjustments in order for the app to communicate effectively with the Govee lights and the adjustments to take into effect immediately.Some people have reported that the lights get hot. Mine donât even after 7 1/2 hours of being turned on. They were still âvery lukewarmâ to touch. They shouldnât get hot because they are LEDâs – a very nice feature of an LED. Theyâre also cost efficient.I recommend these Govee lights to create a nice ambient environment wherever you want to use them; either as tv backlighting, behind the bed mood effects, or etc. Certainly, they have many uses and applications. Be creative!

Bastante buen sistema, sencillo de conectar como otros aparatos de Govee. La luz se dispersa bien, me hubiera gustado que el montaje que se pega tuviese rotación además de inclinación y que los cables fueran un poco más largos para una pantalla de 70 pulgadas, pero en términos generales vale lo que cuesta y le da un buen aspecto a la sala.

Itâs the best LED light bar of its type, better than Phillips Hue because itâs taller, can be set to multiple colours per LED light bar, and costs way less.I bought 2 sets, 1 behind my TV and the other set behind my PC monitors in another room.The app is good for setting custom colours and pairing is quick.
