Love this!
I bought a fan that needed a thermo hygrometer and an air purifier that needed an air quality monitor. So I was incredibly happy to find that they made a 2 in 1. It monitors the temperature and humidity for the auto function on my fan and it monitors the air quality and particulates for the auto function on my air purifier. It’s compact and doesn’t take up a lot of space and works great. A friend was over and I got to see in real time the damage his cooking did to the air in my home. It was no surprise when the smoke detector went off and this monitor immediately upped the level of my air purifier until the air was back to normal. And the fan comes on when I’m sleeping to keep the temperature regulated. This was a great find.

Desperately needed these
Each room in my house has a different temp and I needed these to know how hot it is upstairs. These are so easy to set up and they paired to the app flawlessly. So far – they are fantastic and I love the app access.

Great Air Monitor w/ Smart Home Integration Features
Overall, this is a great air monitor for the money and I love the smart home integration and automation you can setup if you have other Govee products.I bought 2 Govee HEPA air purifiers, one for my downstairs, and one for our master bedroom. I also bought 2 of these air monitors (even though the air purifiers also have their own PM 2.5 sensors). For the downstairs, I placed one of the monitors on the other side of the house and have automations so that if air quality dips in that room, it can still trigger my Govee HEPA air purifier on the same level into high mode to help purifier and circulate the air quicker along the ~1,250 sqft area. Once healthier air quality conditions are met I can also set an automation to put the HEPA filter back down to auto / low.The temperature readings are fairly accurate out of the box, and you’re able to make adjustments if needed. I also have a Govee space heater that unfortunately can’t automatically turn on or off to maintain a set temperature, but with this sensor and automation, I can set commands to automatically turn on or off the space heater to keep the room within a set temperature range.The unit also shows humidity, which is also very important for indoor air quality and health. I’ve learned that in some rooms or conditions my humidity can get a bit higher than ideal in warmer weather or after a shower in our master bathroom. I’ve been managing that now by leaving on the bathroom ventilation longer than I would have previously. But I’m also looking into adding Govee humidifiers and dehumidifiers to help manage it more closely and also be able to take advantage of smart home automation to handle that as well.The only thing I was a little disappointed with is that it doesn’t monitor other key air quality metrics that some other brands offer (VOCs, PM10, CO2, etc), and would be great if these could also double as carbon monoxide or combustible gas detectors. However, given the price point, I’m sure if they offered these features the units would be a bit more expensive.Given that, I was torn on trying to decide between eating this 4 or 5 stars (I would rate it 4.5 if given the option by Amazon), but ultimately, given the price vs features and performance it does have, I think a 5 star rating is still fair and justifiable.

Sensors inaccurate
The only way I could get this to detect changes in air quality was to have smoke near it or spray some sort of aerosol spray. Then it will shoot up and then quickly drop back to 0-1. In each case you can still smell and even see both in the air.Temperature 5-6 degrees cooler than 2 other sensors I have. You can use the app to adjust or calibrate it, but it doesn’t seem to work nor should one have to calibrate a unit by that much in my opinion.Humidity 10-15 below other units. Same calibration can be used in the app as the temperature, but again it should not have to be calibrated that much.The display is nice but with 3 of the sensors on it being inaccurate I don’t know if I would even trust the clock on the unit.

I wanted a monitor for my workshop to be able to see the temp+humidity, and to see the particulate levels so that I can judge whether I should be wearing a mask or not during certain activities.It reacts quite quickly which is nice. I have nothing to compare it to in regards to accuracy, but the readouts seem to correspond to other devices I have showing temp+humidity, and the particulate levels definitely rise and fall depending on my dust levels.The app works fairly well too. For someone unwilling to shell out for a crazy expensive real time PM monitor, I think this is a good budget option to get in the ballpark.
