I was very surprised at the quality of this set of vehicles/robot toy, for this very reasonable price.I think has just the right amount of difficulty to keep a four year old child interested without frustrating him. I think he will need some help the first few times but then will be able to make the transformation himself.There are small parts, so definitely not a toy for toddlers to play with unsupervised.

Replacement parts are not available to purchase
This is a well made and sturdy toy. It has a lot of pieces when you take it apart. My rating is based on the unavailabily of purchasing replacement parts.Please note: Do not lose any of the peices as you will not be able to assemble the robot. You can still play with the vehicles however. I tried to purchase one replacement part but was told, “Thank you for supporting our products! Unfortunately, this part is irreplaceable. We’re truly sorry for the inconvenience that we’ve caused.” The part was a grey undercarriage piece. Without it, the Robot has only one leg!!
