Comparison of Hanes, CYZ, and Fruit of the Loom Men’s Pajama Pants
UPDATE: After a year of wearing all three brands (Hanes, CYZ, and Fruit of the Loom) with constant washings and dryings, major differences are clear:1) The Hanes came out to be the best, by far–most durable and least shrinkage. The button is still very secure, the band is strong, and there was no fraying. The 60% cotton and 40% polyester apparently works to deter shrinkage.2) The Fuit of the looms (100% cotton) shrunk so high that they are half way up his calf in length (they look a little silly but he still wears them), and the draw string is very frayed.3) The CYZs still have a problem with the fly, which is flimsy and the button still comes undone (too small for the hole), so you definitely don’t want to be wearing them in mixed company. Otherwise, they were as good as the Hanes in terms of low shrinkage and strong construction. These are also 60% cotton and 40% polyester.ORIGINAL REVIEW (after only one wash):My husband decided to try three top brands: Hanes, CYZ, and Fruit of the Loom. The photos show all three brands after washing and drying. My husband is 6′ tall with a 32″ waist and wears a “medium.” He loves all three brands, but there are some differences.SIMILARITIES- All have pockets, button fly, and elastic waist band with drawstring tie.- All three are very comfortable and fit according to specifications.- All three have close to the same fabric weight, with minor variations.- All three held up well in the wash (photos show one wash for each pair).- The drawstring weight and form are actually about the same (the Fruit of the Loom drawstring is softer and gets a little scrunchier when washed).DIFFERENCES- The Fruit of the Loom seems to have the most substantial waist band and fly construction, followed by Hanes and CYZ. The CYZ also has smaller button and does not stay buttoned as well as the others. So, the fly is not as smooth on the CYZ as it is on the Hanes and Fruit of the Loom. However, my husband likes the CYZ pair for their light weight and comfort.- The CYZ and Hanes are 60% cotton, 40% polyester, and the Fruit of the Looms are 100% cotton. However, the Fruit of the Loom bottoms did not shrink any more than the CYZ or Hanes after first washing and drying.Overall, my husband is very happy with all three brands and “lives” in them when he’s at home.

Great lounge/sleep pants
I purchased these for my fiancée. He loves these kind of pants for pjs/sleep pants. There are more than a few different brands that have this type and look just like these but these are definitely the preferred brand and I feel are superior to the other brands that are like these. I was buying this style with the open ended pant leg, and also the jogger kind that are the exact same, but have a tapered cuff at the bottom, like the ends of a hoodie sleeve. He now prefers these and in this style. I would pick both of those up all the time whenever I had the chance, of any brand that had them, until I stumbled upon these bad boys. These are amazing. First, I love the price, they are at a great price point. Usually when you get these kind of pants if your getting the cheapest or cheaper ones you pretty much get what you pay for and they don’t last long, some of them barely make it through a handful of washes. But not these. These wash well, they hold up in the wash and outside the wash as well. You can wash and dry these without worry, alot of other ones either have to be hand washed or can be regular machine washed but then need to be air dried to keep them from shrinking. And honestly, who has time for all that! These don’t shrink up size wise or length wise. I love that they are not like other typical ones like these that will look good and fit perfect the first time you wear them, then the wash screws them up where they don’t necessarily shrink anywhere except the length. He and I hate when that happens because the length of the legs will always shrink to an akward length where it’s not as short as what you would define as “high waters”, but not long enough for the pant leg to hit the floor or right above it. Then the bottom of the legs kind of get in the way when walking around the fabric will shuffle so its just annoying and uncomfortable for him. Also finding ones that have good length can be hard because so many of these if you wear them at the waist like they are supposed to be, aren’t long enough in the leg, but if you lower them to where the leg length hits correctly, the waist area then is sitting basically where your butt is giving plumbers crack vibes lol. These don’t have that problem. The leg hits right before touching the ground to where the length is good but not so long that the back bottoms of the legs wont get dirty and show discolor and won’t eventually look tattered and worn. Also the width of the end of the legs are really good, they aren’t too flared out but not overly skinny cut either. These are more of a slim boot cut opening. The comfort is great, and the fabric is soft against the skin. These have a light to medium cotton feel, but with enough stretchiness you can really move around and there’s no task you can do that will make these have a restrictive feel or pull to them. These are great for year round wear and especially good for spring and summer weather, but are light enough to be able to be worn during really hot nights without feeling sweaty. These are also not a problem for more cooler weather as well, they will suffiently keep you warm and these do fine in cold nights especially if your under a blanket. If your somewhere that has freezing temps or heavy snow weather, these might be a little on the lighter side for you only on those nights but these are stretchy enough and roomy enough to have over a pair of thermals and as stated above, are fine if your under blankets. These have a stretchy waist that are not constricting and have a drawstring that can hang or be tied, and if you don’t like having a drawstring, it is able to taken out and be removed easily. These also have two pockets that are deep and a good size, not like others where the pockets aren’t functional or you can’t really fit anything in them without worrying about it falling out everytime you sit down. The pockets are also made double layered with fabric so they hold up well and do not come apart, and no enexpected holes pop up along the seam or at the end of inside the pocket. I also appreciate the little detail of the colors of the pants, the black ones come with a gray drawstring and the inside of the pockets are the same gray color, the royal blue have a gray drawstring with gray pockets, and the gray color has a black drawstring with black pockets.

comfortable, but thin
These are nice pajamas to wear in the summer but not the winter the material is thin but soft. The pajamas are comfortable and fit comfortably but the material is thin & could definitely stand to be thicker! You would need warmer pajamas most likely in the winter.

Yes, these run large but find the best fit and they are so comfortable
First, totally believe the consensus here in all the reviews that these run big. It is not just a matter of opinion. They indeed run huge. They are long in the legs and big in the waist. But knowing this I ordered accordingly. I wear a large in Hanes underwear and boxers so I got a medium in these knit pants. And going down one size fit the bill. These have an elastic waist with a drawstring and I don’t need to use the drawstring at all unless I choose. The elastic waist by itself keeps them fitting perfectly without being too tight. They are still too long in the legs by about 3 inches for me – I am 6 feet. But luckily the length is in no way cumbersome for me. I don’t trip over the bottom at all and when lounging around sometimes I honestly appreciate the length. But I cannot stress enough how comfortable these knit pants are. They are so soft and feel so good on my body. For me the thickness of the material is perfect. They are just right where they are light enough for warmer weather and also heavy enough to still keep you warm in the cold winter months. Other than the length being slightly long they fit me perfectly at the waist. They just fall right into place and while feeling so good also look good which is a nice bonus. They are not baggy. They fit to my body well without being too tight. There is just the right amount of room and lastly the durable material is so breathable. I love them and will be ordering more. So just get the right size, know that the length will be a little long unless you are very tall and these may be great for you too.
