Nice drone for first time drone pilot and probably for experienced users as well.
I had never owned or even flown a drone prior to purchasing this Holy Stone HS710. My neighbor an experienced drone pilot recommended it to me. I found the HS 710 to be all that I expected and more. It was easy to learn how to fly as a beginner from just reading the owners manual. As I gained experienced, I found that it was easy to use at more advanced levels as well. It has many nice features. The camera was capable of making detailed videos and still shots. The app and drone interfaced well with my iPhone 10. It is small and compact and easy to store and pack for travel. Being a light-weight drone, it is susceptible to control issues in a higher wind, which is of course to be expected and not a problem specific to this particular drone. The only negative issue that I have had was the inability to loosen the screws holding the propellers to the motor shafts when trying to replace a slightly damaged propeller. It was if the screws had been glued in. I was able to communicate my issue with the Holy Stone customer support team, and was sent a new replacement drone. I would highly recommend the HS710 for someone looking for a drone in this class.

I’ve been pretty satisfied with my Holy Stone HS710 drone. As a beginner, I found this drone to be far more manageable than smaller ones. It’s quite user-friendly, and I got the hang of it quickly. The flight stability is decent for a drone of its size, though I’ve yet to fully test the GPS accuracy, being new to flying drones.The camera quality is satisfactory, not outstanding, but it gets the job done. A highlight is the battery life, lasting about 25 minutes, which is quite good. Plus, HolyStone sent an extra battery for free, which was a great bonus – thanks, HolyStone!Setting it up was straightforward, but it’s important to start on a flat surface and read the manual before the initial setup. The build quality is as good as plastic can be, which isn’t bad at all.I particularly like the return-to-home function; it’s a useful feature, especially for new pilots. The price seems fair for what it offers. However, be aware that you need to set it on a flat surface before turning it on, or you might face some trouble initiating.Overall, I’d recommend the Holy Stone HS710 for anyone starting out in the drone world. It strikes a good balance between ease of use, features, and value.

I have a YouTube channel and several outdoor hobbies, and I’ve thought about using a drone for a few years now. After doing a lot of research I decided to give the Holy Stone HS710 a chance as a good way to learn how to fly a drone, and to use some of the more advanced features such as follow me, circle mode, etc. I’d like to start about by saying that my first few flights out resulted in some significant blade damage (first one undetected which led to a much bigger crash next flight). Holy Stone sent me a replacement set of blades free of charge, and they responded to my request very fast, so that’s excellent service.In regards to flight, it works very well and is easy to get the hang of it, and is surprisingly quiet. Setup overall was a breeze, and the compact size of it means I can load it up in my hydration pack and bring it with me on my mountain bike trips. Battery life is as advertised, but I would suggest you don’t trust the battery meter. Once it hits 2 out of 4 bars, that’s your queue that the drone is going to quit flying real soon. When you hit low power mode the GPS return kicks in and it does returns to the general area it started from.Image quality is where things fall apart. As long as you don’t expect a good image, then you’ll be fine. Video is shaky, and pictures are on the low definition side. For photos, I would strongly suggest you adjust all the image adjustment sliders manually for each picture you take to try to squeeze out better color and contrast. This will result in a much better picture (although still not amazing – see attached). Unfortunately this also means that you are using up precious flight time doing the adjustments, so plan accordingly. Video has a bit of a warble to it, and can get quite shaky. You can improve the video after the fact through video editing software that has stabilization feature. In my video I uploaded it shows the raw video and then a stabilized one. You aren’t going to win any awards here, but it does make it better.I’ve only had it once where I couldn’t get a GPS lock, so I flew it with GPS turned off. It all worked well, although it will constantly drift if you aren’t attending to it. I would strongly suggest not flying with GPS turned off.Overall I’m glad I purchased this drone. My plan is to fly it for the majority of 2023 to hone my skills, and I trust it will operate well during this time. I will definitely consider a higher end drone from Holy Stone in the feature.

I got this for Christmas and waited to test it out and am I impressed with this drone! It was a great price on sale for 200 CAD and I am so glad I own it. It is easy to setup and start flying pretty quick. I basically turn the remote and then drone on turn off bluetooth setup via wifi network then open the app to ensure its connected once it is i make sure all lights are green and hit the unlock button and then press take off and away it goes!
