My family purchased new mattresses and furniture recently. We had lots of problems with VOCs. Lots of plants, open windows, etc. The carbon filters on this are much larger than most air purifiers and it has helped to make a difference.

This is an outstanding air purifier in every way, with all the design features and functionality you could ask for. First, this air purifier is extremely powerful when itâs running at top speed and will quickly cycle the air in a medium to large size room in a short amount of time. The motor is also surprisingly quiet, so most of the sound you hear is just the rushing of air being pushed through the front facing vent, which you can feel from across the room. At the lowest speed you wouldnât even notice the unit is on. Having 5 different speeds is also nice, so that that once the pollution detected by the sensor is getting under control, the unit can begin to lower the speed gradually to match the demand.Despite all this power, youâd be surprised how small of a footprint this air purifier has, being almost entirely a vertical unit. In the past Iâve always struggled to find a space for my air purifiers, but this fits anywhere. Much of this space saving is due to the four stacked filters on either side of the unit. The filters are the all-in-one type, with a pre-filter, carbon filter, and HEPA filter combined into a single cartridge that you load into one of four slots. There are also foam seals along the sides of these cartridges so that once they are installed no air can slip past them unfiltered. My only concern is that, at the writing of this review, I can find no replacement for these uniquely shaped filters on the Jafanda website and there is no part number for them in the user manual. It seems this is a new model, so hopefully theyâll be rolling out replacement cartridges soon.Aesthetically, this air purifier is very attractive and sports a very retro look. It has a carpeted accent around the face as well as four non-slip rubber legs that could be mistaken for wood. The display is very bright, the numbers are large and clear, and the touch interface is very. The display can be dimmed, or turned off, if thatâs to your liking. I like the color coding for the air quality and fan speeds, which make it clear when the unit is detecting and responding to a pollutant. This air purifier comes with Smart Home WiFi connectivity and integration with assistants like Alexa, though I personally would never sit in bed and use my phone to check on the air quality status of my living room. However, the option is there if you want it. I prefer to keep it on Auto and trust that itâs doing the job, which I can verify it does. Right now, itâs near the kitchen, and if someone pops fresh popcorn the unit senses the burning ghee, the display changes color and the number indicating air contaminants increases along with the fan speed. After several minutes the scent of popcorn begins to disappear, and the display number and fan speed begin to decrease. This air purifier is absolutely a winner in my opinion.

Easy to Use, App not Needed
I found this air filter easy to set up. It came well packaged and protected. All four filters are in plastic bags so donât forget to remove them from the bag before turning it on for the first time. I was able to get the filter running on auto mode right from the box without needing to use the app, a plus for me. I did install the app and setup the unit with the app in the hopes that the display would auto darken for night time but it seems that feature is not available and I have to manually darken the display, not a deal breaker for me but a little disappointing since they should be able to have that feature with the app. Iâm going to remove the device from my wifi network and delete the app since I donât need to view the status of my air filter from my phone.I am a little concerned that I don’t see replacement filters available for this model. For anyone considering this air filter I would hold off on purchasing this model until you can verify there will be replacement filters available and what they will cost.Overall this is a great unit that is quiet and very stylish. In tandem with my other air filter the quality of the air in my apartment is great. When replacement filters are available and if they cost a reasonable amount I would highly recommend this Jafanda JF500 Air Purifier.

EXCELLENT FULL-FEATURED AIR PURIFIER WITH 4 COMBINATION HEPA, ACTIVATED CHARCOAL AND PRE-FILTERS
We have a large, multi-floored house in the woods. Dust and pollen have been an issue for decades. We have air purifiers in all the primary rooms. This Jafanda air purifier is the best we have every had. It is exactly as advertised and works perfectly. The controls are simple to use and understand and the filters are easy to change â BEFORE using it for the first time, take out the four filters and remove the plastic wrapping. The lifting finger strap is a nice touch. When re-installing them, the large hole honeycomb faces the inside. You can vacuum clean the outside pre-filter (which screens larger particle). DO NOT try to clean the filters with water. WARRANTY: If you register it (see included pamphlet), they will double the 1-year warranty. Since this is a new product, JF500 replacement filters are not yet available as of May 2024.The fan is variable speed and controlled by a dial on top. The lowest speed is totally silent and the highest speed is like a box-fan on high. It really moves the air from the sides (in) to the front (out) past the optional âessential oilâ tank on the front. During hot summer days, we dig out our old box-fan for the living room but that will no longer be necessary because the air purifier blows as much air on high.You can determine air quality from the color ring around the control knob (green (great) through blue, yellow and red (unhealthy). There is also a digital PM2.5 (parts per million) counter – 2.5 micron sized particles (as opposed to PM10 micron particles). The system will respond to 2.5 micron sized solid particles, such as dust or pollen, as well as aerosol (liquid particles) and mixtures of solid/liquid. 2.5 micron particles can embed in the deeper lung tissue. When I first turned it on, the system detected 5 PPM and gradually reduced to 2 then 1 after a few hours. When the furnace kicks in, the number goes up a bit but not much â our furnace has a HEPA filter as well. The AUTO mode will control the fan based on the âair pollutionâ â the included pamphlet states not to place the unit near furnace outlets or a fireplace and the sides need clearance for proper air flow.WIFI-ALEXA: You can link your smartphone via a downloadable app â the pamphlet details the procedure. We do not own smartphones, so this feature was not tested. The unit will also respond to ALEXA voice commands. We do not have an ALEXA so that feature was not tested.PAMPHLET ERROR: A MUST DO WARNING: âPlease do NOT [my emphasis] unplug the power cord from the power socket when cleaning the air purifier or leaving it unusedâ¦shockâ¦fire due to short circuit.â Later, under Care & Maintenance, you MUST [my emphasis] unplug the device before cleaning/filter changing.

This is my second air purifier from Jafanda, and as always it’s easy to setup and get going. The sensor is accurate and we can always tell when its ramping up to clean after we cook or sweep up a bit of dust. It just knows and off it goes. Notably my allergies seam to be better in the house too. Usually i have a hard time even inside. Highly recommend, the only con is the price of the filters. Just a little too high. At least they last a decent amount of time.

 Absolutely, I bought the JF500 a while back and totally love its vintage vibe. It’s not just an air purifierâit seriously doubles as a chic piece of decor. Super handy too, I can control it with just a tap on my phone app or shout out a command to Alexa. No need to keep running up to it. I’ve had it running on auto in my bedroom, and I’ve really noticed fewer smells and tons of dust trapped in it, which shows itâs doing its thing. Planning to grab another one for the living room soon!

After comparing with many other brands of air purifiers, I chose Jafanda air purifier. After using it, I am very satisfied and recommend this brand of air purifier. It is not only effective in improving the air quality in the room, but there is no concern of generating noiseï¼ and Jafanda air purifier is also very convenient and easy to use.

 After using the Jafända Air Purifier for several days I am mostly happy with it. It does work well including when Iâve ran it through several tests but I also find it sometimes indicates a drastic change in air quality when thereâve been no changes to the environment so I occasionally question the validity. One of the tests Iâve done is run the purifier not far from our laundry room. When Iâve used bleach in white loads in the machine and the smell begins to increase in+around the laundry room the indicator will go from green to blue, orange, and even red. This happens without fail every time. I also ran it upstairs after installing an air conditioner of the first time of the season and the purifier did the same. After changing the AC filter the indicator returned to green after running it for some time. These are example of how well it does work. That said, thereâve also been instances where itâs running in a room and the green is lit when all of a sudden itâll be in the red zone when thereâve been no noticeable external factors to change it so drastically as such. In these cases I turn it off, unplug it, and immediately turn it back on again and it stays on green never going back up to the other zones, even though I hadnât even moved the device. So while Iâd love to give this 5 stars because I truly love it and feel like thereâs a difference in the air quality, I canât ignore those moments either and feel theyâre worth mentioning. The essential oil piece in front is easy to open and shut. There are extra pads for it. On level 5 it is almost as loud as a box fan. Not a problem for us as we love loud fans, but may be a problem for some. The child lock works very well (see video Iâve included) All in all very happy with this!
