Exactly what we needed
I love that these are just a basic call/text mom and dad with no other nonsense. I got two of these watches, for my 9 and 7 year old daughters. With school, field trips and soccer practices, other extracurriculars, birthday parties, family sleepovers, etc, I wanted them to have a way to get ahold of us if they ever needed to. The call quality is good, sometimes it can be hard to hear if the wind is bad or there is a lot of background noise. They enjoy running on the track while I am with their little brother at his soccer practice, itâs at the same location but on the other side of the fields. So when they call from the open track with the wind, it is harder to hear what they are saying but it isnât like I canât hear at all. I do wish there was talk to text as my 7 year old doesnât know how to spell a lot of things yet so for now she uses voice messages mostly. I really appreciate, much to the dislike of my 7 year old, that these donât have any games and it is basic, so it limits distractions and not another screen I have to monitor. School mode was extremely easy to set up, and I love that they can still get ahold of me and dad in school mode, and it just blocks everyone else on the approved contact list. I am able to put timed reminders on specific days for soccer practices to help them get ready on time without argument which has been fantastic. GPS has been great. I can see where they are at in school when they are able to hide it on themselves (arguing with principal and teachers that these are not smartwatches especially when in school mode) most of the time they have to put it in their bookbag but put it on before they get on the bus ride home. My oldest accidentally swam with hers for a few minutes, I know it says water resistant but I donât really want to test that out just yet, but itâs worked just fine since so Iâm very happy with that. The step counter isnât accurate, they will walk around swinging their arms and it will still show 0 steps so theyâve been upset about that but Iâm not too worried about it as that isnât the reason I bought them. The CEO was very helpful on Reddit with responding to questions and got back to me very quick about my contact names question. You have to put in a first and last and while for aunt/uncle thatâs easy but mom and dad itâs not. He got back to me within hours and let me know he let his team know this and that you can use an emoji for the last name so that made it fun to choose one for everybody who needed it. Overall these watches have been great, have given me a sense of peace and given my girls a sense of independence.

Tried TWO of these watches and neither worked – a total waste of money
We bought this watch for our son and constantly had problems with it from the very beginning. It just would not work properly. We ended up with two as one was a replacement for the first order that was lost in the mail. Both watches arrived eventually and we could not get either watch to work properly. We’ve talked or emailed with customer service multiple times and they’ve tried different things on their end but nothing seemed to help. At one point they transferred service to the second watch and there were new problems with that one. It took hours to get it to turn on – the update interrupted the initialization, and then when it did turn on it took hours for the update to install. The problems with both the first one and the second one included being unable to make calls. We’d get the “Welcome to Verizon Wireless” message OR if the call would go through it was too garbled to make out. Updating the location would take a while and sometimes it just couldn’t find the location. The text messages would usually go through but not always. Sometimes the texts were delayed by hours. The second watch would also just randomly shut off during the day. We had a terrifying experience when our son got lost and at that point we decided we had given the watch enough of a shot. I would never recommend this watch. It had random issues, like freezing up on an app. Other issues included the step counter not working on either watch with the August updates, and while that wasn’t a safety issue, it still would’ve been nice to have. Customer service was friendly but the watch was overall not a good product.

Before buying this watch I did research on all of the watches that has a phone where a physical handheld phone is not needed. This watch price was affordable and the monthly price for service is $18 bucks you can’t beat that. Set up was easy. It came with simple easy to understand instructions. It has an app that you download on your phone that controls and monitor their device. It has basic features that are useful and nice. I have teen boys 13 and 15. At this time my husband and I didn’t like our boys having phones. The internet and social media is not a righteous place for children of the Most High. We wanted to be able to still communicate with them while at school so this was perfect. They adapted quite well to the change. The comfort and style of the watch is so nice. The GPS isn’t always accurate you have to refresh often which is okay. Sound quality is not too bad. It’s not perfect but it will do. I like that you can add quick reply text messages and only you can approve numbers on the device. It would be great if they added the weather on the watch as a feature. I would recommend.
