10/10 Value – Peace of Mind is Priceless
My Beautiful Golden Retriever Girl is 6 months old and i’ve been using this camera since she was 2 months old! Being able to check on her whenever I want gives me such peace of mind if I’m not home, or shes in another room. I can’t even tell you how many socks, decor, shoes, cabinet corners i’ve saved from becoming this sneaky girls lunch from the other side of the house because of this camera.I went with this one because of the impressive amount of positive reviews while also being so affordable. Setup took all of 10 minutes and finding the perfect spot was easy because of how compact it is.A huge bonus is that a subscription is completely optional, unlike most others that require a fee or have very limited features without one. To this day I have never paid for this subscription because of the value I get without one! I can access the camera from anywhere and the app, i can see live video, it’s impressively clear quality whether day or night mode, sound detection notifications when a sounds made that’s louder than your set noise limit (in my case it’s to know when she’s barking), motion tracking is the most useful feature for us while we’re trialing her freedom moving into the teenage phase. I can keep an eye on her and let her have some more freedom while making sure she’s safe. The two way speaker helps a lot with praising good behavior and correcting undesirable ones. Being able to be consistent whether home or not has made a drastic difference in how quickly she learns.10/10 Just buy it!

Easy to set up, detection algorithms could use some improvements.
The picture quality is clear, the PTZ tracking speed is decent, but the detection leaves a bit to be desired with many false positives such as light through a window on the carpet triggering the person detection (lowest sensitivity) after completely disabling motion detection. That’s my only real complaint. Everything else is excellent and I love that there’s no recurring cloud subscription and that I can locally store recordings without additional accessories such as an NVR or hub. These cameras are very easy to set up and the Kasa app does a very good job walking through the setup procedure.

feature rich at a bargain price
i have installed dozens of brands of security cameras for over 28 years and i have to say this camera has impressed me most with the picture quality, features and simplicity of the install and setup. from just using it as a basic point and view to using many of the included advanced features such as the patrol mode, motion tracking, custom pan and scan actions to monitor large areas, and much more. being able to record directly to an sd card if you dont want to pay for cloud storage was the thing that sold me. the power cord is fairly long so you can mount it almost anywhere. for the bargain price of $22.00 usd you would be hard pressed to find another camera that comes close to what this camera can do. i am very happy with this purchase and getting a few more for myself and as gifts..

affordable with a few neat bells and whistles
Handy little camera at an affordable price. Easy to set up. The pan/tilt functions provide a wide range of view. I like the speaker and microphone features.Minus one star because: I originally set this up at my parents’ house on their wi-fi. When I went home and tried to connect to my wi-fi, it wouldn’t work. Turns out you have to reset the device and reinstall it – kind of a pain.

Will definitely buy again!
