The Best I have Used
The Kasa Smart Switch 2-Gang HS200-2 is by far the best smart switch Iâve purchased. Iâve tried a few other brands in the past, but none of them have been as reliable as this one. Unlike other switches Iâve used, this one never loses connection, which was a big issue with the others. It always responds instantly, whether Iâm controlling it through the app or using voice commands with my smart home system.The installation was straightforward, and the design looks sleek in my home. Iâm slowly working on replacing all the switches in my house with Kasa switches because theyâre just that much better than the competition. Highly recommend this if youâre looking for a dependable, easy-to-use smart switch!

Iâve installed several of these throughout my home and they are excellent. The app is responsive and fast and being able to connect these smart switches to Alexa is an even better bonus. For the money itâs a great deal.

Installation is an absolute nightmare!!
Connecting is basically the luck of draw. You have to keep trying to add the device until it finally connects. The first gang took about 25 tries, the 2nd gang took almost over 150 tries with a 3 hour duration, it sits there on the connecting to smart switch screen. You have to do a combination of force closing the app, deleting and reinstalling the app, turning your phone on and off, and turning your power breaker off and on for a few seconds. DO NOT follow TP Link’s method of troubleshooting which consists of holding the reset button for 5 seconds and especially don’t reset your router. It’s not your connection’s fault. It’s this garbage product sorry excuse for a smart switch. Absolute worst experience ever, I used to use Wyze and never had a problem! worked seamless for over a decade, and when I moved I decided to cheap out and go with Kasa, worst mistake of my life that I really regret. Good luck everyone with your nightmare setup process. I for one will never buy a Kasa product again.

AWESOME PRODUCT!
My husband installed the Kasa switches in our home and they have been great! They work with Alexa and SmartThings awesomely! We can turn on when at home with Alexavvoice or SmartThings or Kasa app. The quality and ease of installation is great! Didn’t take but minutes for my hubby to install the first ones and we liked so much we purchased more. We also purchased some with the dimmer function and they are awesome as well. We did notice the dimmers work best with regular lighting, if LED or strip LED lighting then not as well, you can only dim them so much before they go dark.

Easy Install
Took me a while to install, but that was because my old 1974 house had a small fiberglass wall box. My dad helped me take that out and we installed a new, much larger box and these went in easy enough after I fought with some wire nuts.I used my own wire nuts because of how my house’s wiring is. There were one or two too many wires involved to do it all with the simple little brown nuts that came with this.One gripe I have is putting on the wallplate. It does look clean once on, but it is very easy (i did it once, maybe twice) to overshoot the screw into the plastic on the switch when you are screwing it into the wall. I ended up being slightly out of alignment and this made it a real pain. There’s still a tiny gap that I can tell when i’m looking for it, but overall it came out fine and this is MOSTLY my error, not the product’s.Pairing was a little wonky with switching wifi back and forth, but I got it set up pretty easily. I’m an IT Systems Admin though, so I might have an easier time with it than someone who is brand new to smart home stuff and not used to changing wifi around to pair things, etc.

Great Success with Kasa Smart Dimmer switches!
I finally bit the bullet and replaced all of my ‘other brand’ smart dimmer switches with TPLink Kasa devices. The ‘other brand’ were continually disconnecting from Alexa – almost comical that one heavily used room would work one day, not work two days, work two days, not work a day, then work two days……etc. On top of this, the ‘other brand’ flooded my wireless router log with thousands of messages daily – making the log essentially useless. Several iterations with support failed to resolve the issues.I’d had one Kasa dimmer for a couple of years – no disconnects or spurious router messages. Happy to say after several days, my 4 Kasa dimmers are working reliably and I have a usable router log.TPLink Kasa will be my ‘go to’ for smart switches!!
