Great camera and love the Kasa app!
This camera was easy to set up and works great! You can customize the area where you want motion or person detection, change the sensitivity, and the picture and audio quality are both great. I already use the Kasa app for another camera and some smart plugs, so I love that this doorbell camera works seamlessly through the same app. Make sure you also order or use a micro SD card for longer term storage of footage. Even if you don’t already use Kasa products, I highly recommend this doorbell camera!

Great doorbell cam
This was very easy to install and connect to my home internet and the app. The picture quality is amazing, at least compared to my previous camera. My only complaint is that it won’t work with my existing chime, and I have to use the wireless chime that comes with the camera. It does provide for more chime options, but it sounds a little tinny. Overall, I would recommend this camera.

I am an older woman and I installed this KASA video doorbell myself with no difficulty. The KASA app provides easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions. The most time-consuming part of the installation was figuring out which switch in my electrical panel powers the doorbell.What I like:Easy installation with clear instructions.I did not even have to drill new holesâit fit into the existing holes from the old doorbell.Very reasonable price (I paid $53).No monthly subscription fee.The picture quality and the night vision are very good.I CAN record video clips and save them to my phone withOUT a subscription. In both the live view screen AND the various recorded alerts, there is a red box that you can press to either record a live clip or a section of one of the alerts and when you stop recording, it automatically saves the video clip to my phone pictures.I have no problems with faces of visitors being too dark or glare, but my front porch is covered and I do not have glaring sun in my view.It accommodates a 128 GB micro SD card which is large enough to record a LOT (must be purchased separately).Pre-recorded voice announcements that I can activate at the press of a button (if I am on a phone call and cannot speak to the person at the door, I can press a button on my phone to choose one of several pre-recorded announcements like âIâll be there in a minute.â)What I donât like:The provided âwedgeâ is only a 15 degree angle. My doorbell is mounted on the side wall, so that wedge is small. I CAN see the front door area with this wedge in place, but an option for greater than 15 degrees would provide a much better viewâespecially of the area in front of the house. With the 15 degree wedge, I have an annoying view of the edge of the wood door itself.It does NOT provide a view of the entire door mat area, so I cannot always see if a package is at my door.You cannot edit the pre-recorded voice announcements.Also, I did not yet have my micro SD card when I installed the doorbell and assumed I could easily insert it laterâthat was a mistake that cost me more time than I planned. It was VERY difficult to remove the doorbell with the little release pin the seller provides. I reviewed the installation instructions numerous times and also searched for instructional videos but it still did not come off easily. When I finally got it off, it would not recognize the SD card until I did a factory reset and then reinstalled the doorbell from the start, including formatting the SD card. I was using a top brand 128gb SD card. I strongly recommend that you install your SD card at the time you install the doorbellânot add it after like I did.Overall, I think this KASA video doorbell is a bargain and I am very happy with it. My main complaintâwhich is a pretty big one if your doorbell is mounted on a side wallâis that the provided wedge should be greater than a 15 degree angle to provide a better view.I took several photos to show you.I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. This is the best video doorbell in the world, not an exaggeration. I speak with authority. I have tried and returned several. The worst was the Ring door bell. The Kasa Doorbell is so easy to set up using the app and hitting the plus sign to add device, and no monthly charge. The night vision is like daytime. I have never seen this quality of night vision. I started off with one of their indoor cameras that was great, easy to view inside my house when away. Then I bought their doorbell. If this isn’t the best photo quality you have ever seen, then there is something wrong with your vision not the doorbell.ð¤. One tip— When you mount the bracket that holds the doorbell, notice the arrow— The arrow must be up. Wired doorbells are the only way to go. The SD card is a must to review footage. So nice to not pay a monthly charge. If some truant from life steals the doorbell, do what I did, I installed two outdoor cameras, one is hidden in a cedar tree, with just a little trimming. The outdoor cameras also have recording on SD cards. I love it when some silly reviewer says: “not bad for a cheap camera”. There is a big difference between an inexpensive camera and a cheaply made camera. This is probably the finest camera money can buy. Minolta, Canon, and Nikon are green with envy.The graphics, the night vision, the easy backup history, the appearance, the chime, and the angled mounting bracket are the best. Some reviewers that complain about loss of signal— it isn’t the camera it is their poor internet. I installed a repeater to extend the signal, and located it near the bell on inside wall. Another silly reviewer said the app needs work, the app is outstanding, simple, affective, flawless.This is no average video doorbell, this is a masterpiece of technology. If this had been made in America it would have been over $10,000 . Come to think of it, I don’t think any doorbell is made in America and half of my fellow countrymen don’t even know how to use a doorbell. Five stars+++ I especially like the review feature. There are drop down boxes when motion is detected, either green for motion only, or purple for person detection. So If I want to see who came into view, I just click on purple frames. This is a wonderful camera doorbell.

Muy buena opcion por el precio. Solo les recomiendo tener en consideración.1. Se requiere un transformador de 110 v a 24 v 5000 mA. Asi viene specificado en la caja.2. Graba continuo 24 hr y marca los eventos que seleccionaste en la configuracion. Se requiere una miro SD max 128 GB. Creo que no hay opcion como los TAPO que solo grabe los eventos importantes.3. Casi 1 año y trabaja muy bien. Esta bajo techo, no se ve desgastado.4. Hay que tener paciencia con el envio. Se tardo mucho en llegar casi 10 d. El paquete llego en excelentes condiciones.

Me gustó mucho, funciona muy bien comparándolo vs el nest de google me gusta mucho que todo se almacena en la memorÃa interna, también el adapatador de timbre es muy bueno aunque es una lástima que no vendan por separado ya que necesito más.Lo que no he logrado es que me muestre en la pantalla de Alexa cuando alguien toca el dispositivo, creo que no te notifica de manera automática, pero da igual, para mi propósito con el chime que trae incluÃdo me funciona perfecto.

Casi todo lo que dice el producto es cierto y funciona bien, el timbre suena duro y tiene buen alcance, solo no te dicen que la compatibilidad con Alexa es muy limitada, ya que funciona solo como una cámara con sonido de 1 vÃa, entonces cuando alguien toca escucharas un sonido pero no verás a nadie en la pantalla de Alexa, todavÃa debes decir “Alexa muéstrame el timbre” y solo entonces puedes ver y escuchar a quien esta afuera pero de cualquier forma el que esta afuera no te van a escuchar, entonces no es posible preguntar ¿Quién toca?, esto solo es posible hacerlo con la App Kasa Smart en el celular, no en un dispositivo Alexa.
