I bought them for my 11 year old daughter but she will not be using them. They are extremely sharp. I was cutting veggies and with them and cut half of my finger nail off. I guess the description is a little miss leading it said easy on the skin so kids can use them. That is not true. I will keep them because they work great. I would definitely purchase the gloves if little kids will be using them. I should have did a little better reading when I bought them. I gave 4 stars because the little description that says easy on skin. I’m just glad it was me and not my daughter that got cut.

Got this for my 6 year old who is very interested in helping in the kitchen. They fit his hands very well and are an outstanding first knife set for kiddos who are ready to take the next step in the kitchen. They are very sharp, which is exactly what I wanted. Truly a perfect first knife set.

Good but not for true beginners
My daughter is 6 and loves helping in the kitchen. I have some of those plastic beginner knives but they are way too big to really work with. I thought these would be better and they are when it comes to size and maneuverability but they are VERY sharp. I let her use the steak knife tonight on her own but I wonât let her use the other knives by herself for a while yet.

I love this set! It is genius! It has brought my kids into the kitchen to get involved with meals, so they feel part of it and are becoming more interested in trying new thing! As fussy eaters this is great for me. The set looks fun, is easy for them to hold in particular my 8 year old. I bought the fab gloves too so I am less stressed now about possible injuries!

This is a great knife set for young children. My kids always want to help me but I donât like the idea of them using my knives. These are sharp enough to chop but gives me piece of mind knowing they were made for kids. Not only do my kids enjoy chopping vegetables etc but it is now encouraging them to eat them too!!! Really recommend buying the gloves as they add a real safety element and If the kids do accidentally go near fingers etc it prevents a cut so abreal winner!

I purchased this set for my two children to use in the kitchen, and I think its great, paired with the gloves they feel more confident helping to prep meals and I’m much happier with them using knifes and peelers as the gloves protect their fingers and the utensils allow them to feel like they’re grown up but safely. Would highly recommend.
