Solid as a rock.
I love the fact that this tenderizer is essentially once piece. Our previous tenderizer was an OXO brand and it had a rubber handle. Over time the handle loosened as the mallet did not run all the way through the handle. It was just glued in so the handle started to slip off. That’s not what you want when you are pounding stuff! This Kitchen Aid is perfect as the balance is so much better and there is no handle that will slip off as it’s one piece with two black “handle” pieces stuck on. Works really well. Great price too.

This tenderizer has a good heft to it, without being too heavy and cumbersome. It’s well-balanced and the handle is comfortable to hold. I imagine I’ll have this great tool for many years.

Good size, fits well in a drawer. A bit lighter than I expected and would have liked a bit more mass. But, it works well and definitely worth having.

Good tenderizer
Great size and I use it everyday. I place plastic wrap over the meat before tenderizing to reduce having to toothbrush scrub the non flat side. Easy to swing and lightweight but has weight to work. Handle could be slightly shorter but not a deal breaker. Kitchenaid has great products
