The spot light modes are super bright, but recently for multi-day trips, I use the low diffuse modes to conserve battery. That mode is sufficiently bright for doing stuff within arms reach, in the tent, etc. It’s lighter and brighter than my Petzel with 3 AAA batteries. The built-in battery with USB charging is very convenient because I already carry a charging brick (for my phone) and I don’t have to take separate AAAs with me. The price is good.The red mode is not bright enough for me to use, but I’m not going to take a point off. The blinking red-green seems pointless; blinking red-blue would be cool – like police siren lights 🙂 Even “red on port, green on starboard” could be more useful as navigation lights.

ALMOST Exactly what I want
To the point: I would like to have a light just like this in every way except with a USB-C charging port since USB-Micro is phasing out.This lights BEST feature; SEPARATE BUTTONS to control Red and White lights. If you are in a position where you need to preserve night vision you don’t want to press-press-press to get to the red light. With this one you can.SECOND BEST Feature: Only a few modes and once you find the one you want and leave it like that for a few seconds, one subsequent press turns it off.The only shortcoming then is the rapidly becoming outdated Micro-USB instead of USB-C for charging. I hope they will correct that soon and leave everything else the same.And just so you know what NOT to change, here is what I find wrong with so many other headlights on Amazon.I seems that the Chinese have decided that the more modes the better, even if we never use most of them and having so many makes selecting a mode annoying and confusing. How many people have ever actually used a flashing light mode. But I bet you have had to pass through that stupid flashing mode hundreds of times to turn a flashlight off. I have seen a very very few people on bicycles use it, okay niche market, make a special light for them and give the rest of us the option buy a light without an annoying feature we will never use.They have also somehow decided that everyone want’s a motion sensor on their head. Well I for one DON”T. I could live with it if I could simply disable this feature that I will never use in three lifetimes and simply forget about it.However, try as I might to find a compact headlight with both USB-C charging and separate buttons for Red and White I can’t seem to find one. They all have room for only two buttons and instead of using one for white and one for red they waste one of them to control the motion sensor that I will NEVER EVER use.

Perfect for me
We love going camping with our two little dogs. At night I have had trouble trying to hold a flashlight, flexies, poo bags… Plus drive my power chair. A note about being in a power chair. One hand is always on the controller. You have to tap your head & rub your belly, literally. Drive with left hand, use right hand for everything else. Like pointing a flashlight, holding flexies…These head lamps are perfect! They are adjustable so I can shine them towards the ground. It adjusts from straight ahead to down, and stays in the position you put it in. They are bright enough for me to see what I need to see. The headband holds the light securely.For the money, these are perfect!!!I noticed a little dimming after two hours. I thought that was great. I was surprised it lasted that long at this price.What a game changer for going in the chicken coop at night! I tried it last night after coming home from camping. The light went where I looked. I know, that’s a duhhhh. But having been used to holding a flashlight & trying to see everything, it was wonderful having my headlamp.I highly recommend these!

One of the best headlight I ever had
This one is one of the best headlamps I ever had for this amount of moneyIt’s pretty bright, bright enough to do work when you need some more light in the area you are working inThere are some more exspensive ones that are way brighter, but you got to pay more money for themFor this price it’s good n bright enoughI like to have about 4 of these, I use them for work as a electrician n for my own personal work I got to do off the job, good to have a few of these so you can have some charging while you are using one n still got a back up one fully chargedI camp out a lot n live in a vehicle sometimes, so these come in handy, I like the red light mode also when you are trying to hide out more n need some lightThese are perfect also for riding at night on a ebikeI also use them for reading at night
