I love its appearance and texture
This is exactly the product I’m looking for. I love its appearance and texture. It’s thin and light, and it runs and charges really fast (within an hour). I had my concerns before actually seeing it because of those negative reviews, including the adaptive keyboard and the fact that it breaks down right after several days’ use. When I started to use it, I found no such problems. The adaptive keyboard is great, although the split Backspace/Delete button does take some time to get used to; and it runs just fine, no breakdown or any other quality problems. So for me who is tired of all the Apple products at home, the Thinkpad X1 Carbon is great.

    Terrible Customer Service & Machine
Pros:Lightweight & Sleek DesignCons:Awkward Mousepad designTerrible Customer ServiceHigh chances of requiring repair four times within first six months of purchase, so I barely had time to use it effectively as it was in the depot most of the time

good machine, last keyboard was better. Let me make custom keys!
Lenovo went too far with this new keyboard. The mouse buttons are one pad. There is no insert key which makes using terminal programs difficult. Otherwise, lightweight, good screen, long battery. I bought 10.

    Lenovo 14″ Carbon Thinkpad
I’ve been using Thinkpads for decades: when one dies, I just buy another. This one (the latest in the series) is VERY good — I got it after seeing one that a friend had.It has everything that you’d want in laptop, plus a higher-res screen. I’ll be happy with it, until Lenovo comes out with a significantly better one.

Pro:runs fast. very good computer,Cons: the hard drive is still too small, and also can’t support new partition because of the original setting.

    Most disappointing Lenova thinkpad ever
I am extremely disappointed with this computer. It is limited to 8GB of RAM, which is soldered to the motherboard so that it cannot be upgraded, which is a problem because I work on large spreadsheets every day. also the caps lock key sucks and starts me over at the beginning of the line frequently. This is a light computer with great battery life, but the 2nd generation touchpad also stinks – very hard to find the sweet spot. I always use a wireless mouse because the touchpad is so bad.So big negatives: touchpad, keyboard and RAM. look elsewhere
