Remote Control: To enable HomeKit remote control, you need a HomePod, an Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, or an iPad. Set any of these Apple devices in your house as a HomeKit bridge and connect it to your home 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Keep in mind that once your HomeKit bridge is set up, it has to be kept online. If it is powered off or disconnected from the Wi-Fi, it will fail to respond when you intend to control the device remotely.
Voice Control: You can control your devices hands free, just give voice commands to turn on/off the connected devices. Compatible with Apple HomeKit, Apple Watch, Siri, Carplay, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant.
Compact Size: Smart plug occupies only one socket, the device allows you to stack two mini smart plugs in the same outlet, which is convenient and practical.
Schedule: You can schedule connected devices to turn on and off automatically by smart plugs. Save energy when lights are not needed or left on by accident. Sunrise and sunset setting are supported.
Quality: Smart outlet is made of PC flame retardant material, and has been approved for safety and quality assurance. Certified by ETL and FCC, it supports home appliance up to 15A.

Customers say

Customers like the ease of setup and integration of the electrical plug. They mention it’s easy to turn lights on from their iPhones and integrates perfectly with Apple HomeKit. Some are satisfied with the response time. However, some customers have reported that they lose connectivity once set up. Opinions are mixed on functionality, value for money, and size.

It works well and fast. Seemless integration in apple home
I am using these as outlets inside the garage to control lights. They work on the touch from the home app in my iPhone and are well integrated, even my not-so-friendly Aqara all sees them in automations. Button on the side to manual turn on and off. for the simple use that most will need, this is great at an even better price. Only thing to note is that it does not calculate wattage or energy usage. Commection is easy, if you want, dont use the Meeros app, it has zero integration to anything if you already are using another app like Aqara or Eve. Just connect direct to Apple Home kit.

    Great Product
This is unbelievable product I been a Meross customer for 4 years. They have out done themselves. So easy to program to my iPhones. It took me 45 seconds to setup one outlet. I have tried others and it takes 5 minutes or more for it to get programmed. It is Durable. It is HomeKit Compatibility that is a BIG PLUS!!!

Working great so far (some tips on HomeKit issues in review)
The pairing process was a bit goofy (it is easier to just plug the outlets in and then join the ad-hoc wifi network from the device before doing anything else).I now have these devices working 100% reliably with both HomeKit as well as the Meross App. The low price, relatively compact size, and (now that they are working) instant response via HomeKit make these a winner in my view.HomeKit Problem and Solution:Via the Meross app, everything was working great, but the HomeKit status and control was very spotty. It would work for a few minutes and then the outlet would randomly be declared “no response” via HomeKit.After a bit of research and fiddling, I realized that my network was not playing well with the low level communication that Apple uses for HomeKit. In general:- Your wifi access points need to forward multicast DNS (mDNS) between 2.4g and 5g networks- Your wired network needs to forward mDNS between the wifi devices and any wired devices you are using with HomeKit (such as an AppleTV).- If you have an advanced home network with separate VLANs for IOT devices such as these outlets, then you will need a “multicast reflector” to forward the multicast traffic from the IOT VLAN to the VLAN where your mobile devices are located (for example, your iPhone / iPad / AppleTV). This can be as easy as ticking a box in the router/switch, or it could be a very long journey.Depending on how complicated your home network is, this will all “just work without any effort”, “might require finding the correct setting in a WiFi AP or router”, or “might not work at all”.In my case, I had to go into my UniFi controller and select “Enable multicast enhancement (IGMPv3)” under Wireless Settings > Advanced Settings. After this setting was pushed out to my UniFi APs, HomeKit was working perfectly from all of my iPhones and these outlets.Update: I also had to disable “airtime fairness” on my UniFi 2.4g radio settings.

    Meross smart plug
I purchased a package of 4. then another of four, one in the first box would not pair up, it took about 5 attempts to get the 2nd one to work, then it seemed to set the pace and the 3rd one went through on first attempt. Very easy to turn lights on from my I-phone, purchased a mini pod order to turn on with alexia instead of manually on cell. Worth the money.

    Easy setup with Apple Home
The four-pack is a great price. I needed to replace a couple of smart plugs that had failed on me. I use them for our aeroponic garden so they have to work. The original ones with the unit were only rated for ten amps, and both failed within a year. I saw some recommendations for this brand, so I tried it. The wifi setup was so easy that I thought I was doing something wrong. All I had to do was plug them in, and my Home app found them, and with one click, they were added to my home automation. You really can put two of them in one duplex outlet. The hard part was programming the scenes and automation, but that is all Apple and had nothing to do with these smart plugs. It is an excellent product and a simple setup.

    Definitive No
TLDR: connectivity is mostly fine, but the real problem is the fire hazard represented compared to other brands.Connectivity isn’t great (especially regarding consistency), but it’s not utterly terrible. It works fine for 6-8 months and then totally disconnects due to a needed firmware updated that the app didn’t notify us about and also doesn’t show when I check for a firmware updates (regularly, once every 3 months). The main issue, however, is that we’ve had this smart plug for less than two years, and the first time we had a power surge during a storm, the tip of the grounding pin melted to the point that I had to pry it out of the surge protector. For the record, we use expensive, high quality surge protectors and had various brands of smart plugs plugged into this same brand of surge protector around the house. This is the only brand that had an issue. Two separate Meross plugs did this. I suppose you could technically say that they did a good job since our house didn’t burn down despite the surge, but I caught this shortly after the power surge when changing up some automations and no other smart plug had this issue, including one of another brand that was on the same fuse and the same brand of surge protector. We live in a house built in the 80s; I work remotely in IT, and we have a very smart home due to a few disabilities between us, so as a rule, we use surge protectors with all our smart plugs and technology and will do so until we can afford to rewire the house. We are very mindful. This product is dangerously low quality.

    Dependable, simple.
So reliable. I bought 3 plugs for lamps to give my home that lived in appearance when I am away as well as when I am home. I don’t have to manually turn lights on and off. When I have a question, I get timely, useful help from Meross. I like the simplicity of this IoT. No hub, no separate network. Just the plugs and my phone. Easy to set up and program. Works beautifully!

Bought 4 pack smart plug to use for iPhone/iPad HomeKit.Used for 2.5 months in my bedroom which has a radio-controlled ceiling fan fixture. At the 1st day. I immediately register all 4 plugs into HomeKit, but only plug in 1 unit to use in the 1st week.At the sleeping time at a winter night, the fan turn on by itself and everyone in the bedroom was cold to death. I woke up due to extreme coldness, and turn off the fan. Hours later, the room is getting very cold again. Surprisingly the fan got turn on again. For weeks days, I though this was caused by low battery in the remote control so it is randomly turning on the fan. To eliminate it, I remove its battery, and thinking we will have a “peaceful” night of sleep after weeks of annoying sleep interruption.Unluckily, the problem continue…. fan turn on itself and bedroom became very cold until everyone woke up. With many family argument, panic, confusion, finger pointing under influence of sleeping disorder, I finally narrow down to Meross smart plug. Removed it for a night, and surprisingly the fan didn’t turn on. Every regain their energy with a good sleep.Subsequently, I tested the rest of the 3 Meross smart plugs. Everyone of them are randomly turn on the fan. 1 of them even turn on the fan within 2 min after plugin.E-mail Meross Support, and received their reply next day. After few days of daily e-mail exchange, they asked me to conduct almost 2 months of testing to confirm their product design issue that is causing radio interference with my radio-controlled fan. The only thing they are doing are flashing with 2 diff firmware version with me testing the smart plugs one by one. The support turnaround time is satisfying, but the end result is not desirable.I like their product, as its plastic feel good, no connectivity issue after power lost, long range, HomeKit register easily consistently. As I get frustrated after 2+ months of testing, and occasionally they deny their plug is causing the interference, I asked for following:1. exchange with other HomeKit plug model2. pay more money to exchange with other HomeKit plug model3. full refundFinally, they refund 60% to me while still insist their plug design is flawless. Furthermore, they indicated that even if I buy other smart plug product that continue to cause my fan to turn on, they won’t refund me anymore. In other to confirm myself that it is their plug issue, I bought another smart plug (not Meross). Plug in the same smart plug into the same power output, and powering the same device, the fan doesn’t randomly turn on. So it is clearly their smart plug is doing that to my fan.I don’t totally agree that Meross plug design is flawless by comparing it with other smart plug. However, many residential home fixture are using poor quality radio-controlled product. In my case, my radio-controlled fan is not clearly listed the manufacturer name, model, radio freq, dbm, range, EMF, etc. So the root cause could be my fan’s manufacturer problem by picking a radio-control module that has flaw.I am giving Meross 4 star as they do a 60% refund and their support is responding daily with 2 attempts with 2 diff firmware ver. The plug can still usable, but just not in my bedroom.

Inexpensive and easy to set up and manage in HomeKit however these things and many Meross devices had an annoying habit of randomly going offline. If you plugged this plug in in an awkward or not so easy to get at location, like say behind a piece of furniture, it will drive you nuts. BUT here is the update … The Meross Support Team have been very responsive. They have not given up on me and I haven’t given up on them. Although I cannot confirm 100% resolution here are some things done to mitigate this.1) Using my Cable Router I set several devices with a static ip.2) My 2.4Ghz Wifi may be having some stability issues so I connected 1 of my Network Extender “Pods” via LAN hoping to improve wifi stability.3) One very strange case had many devices unresponsive via the Apple Home App but worked fine using the Meross app. I could browse and stream no problem but my devices that relied on the 2.4Ghz Wifi would not communicate via HomeKit…the fix was a Router reboot! Weird! There you have it folks. It’s a complicated relationship…. me, Meross, Apple HomeKit, Rogers(my Internet/router provider)
