Flexible and Highly Accurate
We have a large camper which we enjoy for almost 7 months of the year. In our part of the globe, the spring and fall temperatures can vary anywhere between 45-65 degrees Fahrenheit which gets a little chilly at night. For comfort we rely on a portable electric heater to take the chill out of the air. The heater we have works well, however temperature control is a challenge. The heater uses an analog thermostat to control the heat output. Yes it works, however we find ourselves fiddling with the thermostat because it gets too hot or too cold. We decided to upgrade to a meross Smart Temperature Controller Thermostat which is a game changer. This Meross thermostat/controller now allows us to set a “target temperature” and basically forget it!! It monitors ambient temp and adjusts the heater current until the target temperature is achieved. Then it shuts the heater off!! Nice and easy, with a constant comfortable temp. No more waking in the middle of the night because the heater shut off. The Meross Smart Temperature Controller Thermostat can be controlled by their Smart Mobile app or manually by the hand controller. It has multiple mode capability that allows the same concept to be used for cooling/AC. You can schedule timed events such as how long to heat or cool. It includes a long therm o-couple that’s submersible in liquid for home brewing or making yoghurt. Lastly, the entire unit is well constructed and heavy duty that should provide years of service. This is a real nice product.

Surpassed my expectations and then some.I was looking for a temperature controller for my wife’s bread making. Both to control a 3×20 seed starter mat for her sourdough starter and to control a 10×20 seed starter mat inside a homemade bread rising chamber. My kitchen is far too cool in the winter for proper fermentation and while setting the dough on the stove with the oven on low helps, it was not at all precise or easy to control.As this use was a little atypical, I also had some atypical requirements. It needed to be white and it needed to have a detachable probe. Bonus of the entire unit plugged directly into the wall to save space. It had to be functional and easy to use.I purchased two inkbird products as I was familiar with that brand. Both had black probes and only one was removable. Both are kind of a pain to program. Neither had the smarts or quality display this unit has, which makes it so much easier to use!My wife’s starter sits at 75 degrees on the jar with this prob rubber banded to the outside set at 77. With a 0.5 differential it’s very consistent never varying more than a degree with the 6 watt matt curled loosely around the jar. The best part is you can see this history unlike a dumb version. So I might increase the temp slightly on this unit to get my wife’s starter to the desired 77. No fault of the unit, I just don’t want to stick the probe in the starter.That also meant I could see that my rising chamber took about 2 hours to reach the desired temp inside with a cold dough. This was a huge bonus as you can easily compensate with this knowledge.I like it so much, I might buy another for it’s primary application of making dumb heaters and air conditioners smart! It has full control of schedules, comfort profiles, compressor delay, temp differential, etc.I had heard good things about this brand and they delivered. It’s also super simple to add this to smarthings, which I can use to help my wife understand when she does and doesn’t need to use the heat mats based on the temperature in my kitchen.The only question now is longevity, but it’s a five star product to set up and use. It’s a great value for what you get compared to what else is out there. It’s stylish and blends in well with white walls.
